Unnamed Road, PH49 4JA
Been here?
The former gravel pull-off beside the river is no longer available for stopping. Roadworks dug out the area and converted it into a passing place. It was previously a quiet, scenic spot with little traffic at night, but those overnight parking conditions no longer apply.

Unfortunately after road works which takes place 22-28.05.2025 now this place is not available, roadworks team dugout road and made this place unavailable for stopping and made a passing place instead.
One of our most beautiful spots in Scotland! Arrive in good time, as the places in the valley are popular and fill up quickly. With a campervan, you can drive down onto the meadow if you have enough ground clearance! Otherwise, you can easily park by the roadside on the gravel above. Fire pit available and great swimming, although it was chilly in April. :D
Unreal spot. Straight 10/10
Amazing location, scenery is incredible. Very quiet at night
Just perfect! Magnificent, a dream spot!! Our 6-metre van fit perfectly; we slept to the sound of the river! Very little traffic!
I stayed here on 21/09/2023. Even arriving early (5:30 p.m.), the spaces fill up quickly. The setting is idyllic and the scenery breathtaking. Based on the comments, I made sure not to park on the grass to preserve the area, and I had no problems. It is not a passing place, so everything is fine. Mobile and 4G networks available.
The ranger came by and told us that vans are not allowed to drive onto the grass.
Along the road here there are repeated spots where you can spend the night wonderfully. Further down in the valley there are lots of midges; it is narrower and shadier there. We liked it best at this altitude. Vehicles must not stand on the grass.
