Via San Rocco, 28822, Cannobio
Been here?
A paid motorhome area beside the river, close to Cannobio village and about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre and beach. It costs 30€/day and includes electricity, water, waste disposal and toilet facilities, although the ground is uneven and the sanitary areas have recently been reported as dirty. The access road has a 6 m vehicle-length restriction. Credit-card payment worked recently, but EC cards and the EasyPark app did not.

Simple pitch in the village, directly by the river. Some spaces are slightly uneven. The €30 per day fee must be paid at the parking meter. Credit card worked, but EC card did not. Payment via the EasyPark app was also impossible. The police check twice a day whether payment has been made. Two male/female toilets and two showers are insufficient when the site is full at weekends.
Simple place on the outskirts of Cannobio with clean toilets and showers. Within walking distance of the beach. Fine for one or two nights.
Unfortunately, the place is increasingly run down and everything is neglected. Mould and cobwebs in the showers. €30 is too much for this place.
Good, quiet place, 10 minutes’ walk from the beautiful town. We felt safe and would return. The toilet and shower are not recommended; €30 may be a little expensive.
Actually, it’s €30 for one night. We’re leaving.
Location as described, positive. Quiet. Sanitary facilities rather basic. Electricity included. The access road we used has a sign limiting vehicle length to 6 m, but longer motorhomes (8 m) were on the site. Booking and payment are only possible for 24 hours. EasyPay did not work for us.
When we were there it was very quiet. Close to the centre. Sanitary facilities absolutely filthy; I don’t know if they are cleaned. €30 for parking and electricity.
In my experience, the sanitary facilities are cleaned every morning. The payment machine accepts no notes, only coins. Otherwise, payment is possible with some cards or via the EasyPay app.
will definitely return €30 a night so not cheap but the views and location are spectacular. 10 mins walk to town. only really for 8m and under. loads of spaces. water, waste & toilet included
Ideal if you want to stay for a day. The town is only a few minutes away, and there is a shower, toilet, rubbish bin and dishwashing facility. Toilet emptying and filling the fresh-water tank are also possible. The sanitary facilities are not super clean, but perfectly adequate for freshening up.
We stayed one day in this area and I find €30 excessive (electricity free). The paving is deteriorated, while the facilities are open but very dirty. Guests are also responsible for keeping it tidy, but daily cleaning would be advisable. The night was peaceful, and the location is ideal for visiting Cannobio, a beautiful village.
One of our favourite pitches on Lake Maggiore, but it has become expensive. In winter the showers are closed, but the toilets by the payment machine are open. The parking meter is new and accepted none of our cards. Cash is accepted only in €1/€2 coins. Notes used to be accepted too; that would be desirable again. We were able to get change. Toilets and a good recycling station.
Perhaps a good parking area, but €30 for 24 hours, payable at a machine that accepts only coins, neither notes nor bank cards, with the toilets and showers closed. With no other options for staying in Cannobio, we decided to leave and do not want to return.
We need neither toilets nor showers. Nevertheless, this pitch is far too expensive. I wonder what makes campers spend €30 to stay here.
Unfortunately, I can only agree with the previous reviewers. The quiet, beautifully situated site is increasingly deteriorating. Toilets are only as clean as people leave them, of course, but when the flush does not work, it is literally shitty. At €30, it borders on a rip-off.
The site itself certainly deserves five stars for its location, peace and proximity to the town. I have never complained about the price of a pitch before, but here a line has really been crossed. Fortunately, we need neither showers nor toilets, which are in a pitiful condition. As the site deteriorates, the costs rise, and the municipality should know this. Anyone needing sanitary facilities should pay a few euros more for a campsite; there are plenty nearby.
Well located, expensive, and the sanitary facilities need attention because a lot of work is required.
Pitch not far from the centre. Quiet location, but very expensive. Toilets and showers could be cleaner.
The site is nice. The toilet and shower are really run down, and cleanliness leaves much to be desired. For €30, you can expect more!
The price is far too high for what it is. Apart from that, the area is well located near the village centre and the river. Very quiet place, excellent night. Sanitary facilities not very well maintained. This area is useful when you want to spend one night in the area.
Quiet place, 10 minutes from the seafront. Toilets and shower in a deplorable condition; it is clearly not worth €30. In my opinion, choose a spot in the countryside instead.
I find €30 for 24 hours too expensive. The showers and toilets were not cleaned on either day. The location is quiet.
Small stopping area a short distance from the centre and lakeside promenade. Fresh-water filling and black-water disposal available. Some pitches are wooded and along the stream. The price is a little high (€30).
The site itself is fine but excessively expensive. Toilets, showers and electricity are available 24 hours a day, but the toilets and showers are extremely neglected and dirty, even the new ones. €30 per night is a lot for a simple night; it is still just a car park.
We stayed for only one night. Payment at the machine was cash only. We did not use the sanitary facilities, only the service point. Short walk to the beautiful town. Everything suited us.
Very nice place on the Cannobino, within walking distance of the town, many restaurants and the lake. But €30 per 24 hours is outrageous, especially since the sanitary facilities were not cleaned once during the four days we stayed. €5 more expensive every year and increasingly poor service—unacceptable!
A really nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the parking meter only accepted cash, with notes of no more than €20. Keep this in mind if you want to stay there.
Indeed, a beautiful place directly by the river. We have now been here for the fifth or sixth time. It started about five years ago at, if I remember correctly, €12, then became more expensive every year without offering more. At €30, I have to say that, beautiful as the place is, it is too much. The town has probably got carried away. What a shame; it was probably our last time.
Great location, suitable for lounging. Quiet. Toilets and showers clean; water and waste facilities under construction. Ground by the river partly uneven due to age and raised roots. At €30 it is now the most expensive pitch of the entire trip; all campsites in Italy were cheaper. The machine has not accepted cards for years, so bring the exact notes.
Good morning, I have to give this stopping area a negative review. It is unattended, so everyone does as they please. No pitch is marked, so whoever arrives first takes whatever space they want. It is also unclear who is leaving because some tickets are expired by a day or more. There were even cars parked inside. No control at all.
