Free gravel parking for vans, with a nearby staircase leading to Sintra’s old town and walking access to the National Park and palaces. A 6m camper has entered, although the area is small and can be very busy even in February. Cars pass continuously on the adjacent road, so traffic noise is noticeable.

We stayed here overnight in a van. There is a bit of rubbish, but it is perfectly fine for one night, and you can walk from here to the national park and all the castles.
I liked the place despite cars passing constantly because it is right next to a road. However, going up the nearby stairs quickly takes you to the area with bars, and the old town is about a 20-minute walk away. It is free, and large motorhomes can enter, as mine is six metres long and there is room for even larger ones where I parked.
Very convenient for visiting Sintra (not much choice). The parking area is quite small but still worth trying. Convenient for us during the day; I don't know about overnight stays. There is a busy road opposite.
Very busy even in mid week February, very small, not big enough for vans. Next to busy road.
Free gravel parking along the road for four van-type vehicles, slightly sloping. Spaces are available during the day and at night. We stayed for two days and one night. The noise from the busy road decreases after 8 p.m. It is a 10-minute walk to Sintra station and a 30-minute walk to Sintra's old historic centre; beware, it is uphill.
