This is parking beside the Travelodge and Starbucks on the A 23, with road and traffic noise. Parking is now not free and is limited to 2 hours. Starbucks, Burger King and a Shell garage with a Waitrose convenience store are nearby, but the latest report advises avoiding the area.

No longer free. Maximum stay of two hours. Avoid it. Noisy.
Stayed here 29th April after needing somewhere at short notice. Plenty of spaces and added convenience of a Starbucks, Burger King and a Shell garage with Waitrose convenience store with toilets. Slept well and no disturbance apart from at 9.30pm when a guy in a flash BMW pulled up right next to us.
Right off motorway but surprisingly quiet. Had no trouble parking with jumbo transit van. There is a Starbucks, a late night Burger King (with normal prices) and a Shell station with a Waitrose section. The Shell station store is open 24 hours and has clean bathrooms.
Fair amount of spaces, no actual spaces for larger vans, so I parked in a corner, felt safe.
10pm on a Saturday night. No sign of any restrictions. We can fuel up at the Shell Garage in the morning and even get coffee. The burger King also has toilets. So far so good..... Not exactly scenic but ideal on route to Newhaven for a ferry.
Great stop for a night! No automatic number plate recognition cameras…yet! I stayed Oct 31st 2022
Very good, but there are no motorhome services. Toilets are available in the restaurants. Free and spacious parking. Good for one night while traveling.
