Mountain parking, seasonal crowds

Quiet night, quiet walk: the one signposted toward the toilets. The first third climbs a lot, then descends. Drinks or meals at the inn, open only at lunchtime outside the season. Very clean toilets.

It's a very simple parking area in a magnificent setting, with very clean toilets and the excellent Léoncel inn right next door. Honestly, it is very good for one night. During the day in high season, the parking fills quickly and there is a lot of traffic, as it is of course the starting point for beautiful hikes.

Parking taken over by cars, motorhomes, and vans. Not so peaceful after all. I couldn't stop because all the spaces were occupied. What a shame.

Cool, peaceful village with meadows. You sleep extremely well, but you need a blanket, haha. It has very clean toilets. The few residents we saw were very friendly. There is a hostel opposite where they served us a very reasonably priced breakfast with wonderful hospitality. The church is also charming. Definitely a beautiful place to escape the heat and noise.

Quiet place for an overnight stay or a lunch stop in the small parking area opposite an interesting inn. Also don't miss the Cistercian abbey founded in 1137; the abbey church was listed as a historic monument in 1840. I confirm the information in the previous review.

Of course, it is still a lightly shaded parking area beside the road. However, the toilets and sinks are truly spotless, and the scenery is pleasant. Starting point for a hike toward Grand Echaillon, a small restaurant open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a very pretty abbey. Very good for one night.
