Pont Daoulas, 29270, Motreff
Been here?
This shaded parking area beside the canal and Pont Daoulas is pleasant and generally quiet, with picnic tables and a towpath for walking or cycling. It can be shared with local vehicles, and some morning traffic is possible. Low branches may make access difficult for larger motorhomes, and there is no rubbish bin. A recent visit reported a dangerous concentration of hornets around lights after dark.

Very pleasant and quiet pitch during the Motocultor Festival. However, there must be a hornet nest nearby, because after dark we were swarmed when the light was on! It was impossible to eat outside with the light on—very dangerous. What a shame.Translating
Very pleasant during the day and at night as well. However, beware! Someone approaches you to ask whether you are heterosexual. He is a thin, older man with long tied-back hair, several weeks' beard, and glasses; he is missing some teeth. He either comes on a white scooter or on foot. Elderly motorhome users did not hesitate to call the police.Translating
Peaceful for lunch today. We are not sleeping here tonight, but it is ideal for walking along the Nantes–Brest Canal.Translating
The branches have not been cut high enough to pass with a motorhome.Translating
Good for spending a quiet night along the canal. Parking shared with the locals.Translating
Very quiet and shaded, ideal when it is hot. Shaded picnic table too; it just lacks a bin.Translating
