Ringøy Camping is a fjordside campsite where you choose your own pitch, with beautiful water views and swimming access from a jetty. Payment is handled digitally through an app, and there is no staff on site. The campsite can become very crowded, with uneven pitches, only 2 showers and 2 toilets for each gender, and long queues. Fires may create heavy smoke late into the evening.

A campsite with a beautiful location, but you had to register digitally, so people kept arriving all evening and the campsite became completely full. The sanitary facilities cannot cope because there were only two showers and toilets in the women's section. The showers are also very inconvenient, as there is nowhere to hang or put your belongings. We had strong winds, which made the camping experience less pleasant.
Beautiful campsite. No staff on site; you choose your own pitch and pay via an app. Too few showers and toilets for a full campsite. The showers are poorly designed.
Free choice of pitch on mostly uneven ground. Sanitary facilities are basic but clean, though there are too few of them. What was very unpleasant for us was that you get completely smoked out because many people make fires, even late into the evening. The motorhome became a smokehouse, which is simply awful with a child.
A beautiful place with a wonderful view of the fjord and an opportunity to swim. Toward evening the site became very full and campers squeezed into the smallest corners. There are only two toilets and two showers each for men and women—far too few! All the sanitary facilities were very dirty. This is a major drawback.
Basically a nice place for one or two nights. However, the sanitary facilities are far too few for the number of guests: two showers each for men and women, and few toilets. Payment can now be made online via Campio. Free choice of pitch. Beautiful view, directly on the water. It can get somewhat windy.
The campsite has a great location with a beautiful view of the fjord. A jetty provides easy access to the water. Unfortunately, there are too few sanitary facilities for the size of the site, resulting in longer waits. The shower cubicles are also very small and there is nowhere to put anything.
The location is beautiful, with a view of the fjord, and the payment process is very convenient. However, the sanitary facilities are unacceptable. I do not mind that they are old, but two toilets and two showers are too few; everything is very cramped, there is insufficient storage space, and the shower temperature cannot be adjusted. It fluctuated and was consistently not warm enough!
The campsite was perfectly fine. Due to the heavy rain in recent days, the grass was just a bit muddy. The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated but okay. The shower had only an on/off button with lukewarm water. Clothes can be dried in the boiler room next to the kitchen. Price for camper: 340 + 40 NOK per person + 60 NOK electricity.
Beautiful view of the fjord, 400 NOK including electricity, shower, and optional use of the washing machine.
Very nice campsite directly on the fjord, with a flat pebble beach for throwing stones. There is a small playground and several barbecue areas with free firewood. Showers are dated and inconsistently warm. Otherwise, a dream! It can be windy.
A very beautiful place with great pitches by the water. The sanitary facilities are adequate.
Silent camping with a nice view. Although it had good facilities (including washing machine that worked properly), the showers were cold. The payment is made with a machine, so it is easy to do it if you arrive late. It has grey water and toxic waste disposal.
We went there at the beginning of June, when there were very few people, and we loved it! Great pitches with a view of the fjord. There is a heated complex with toilets, showers, and an area for washing dishes and cooking, which is very pleasant. Very clean when we were there.
A beautiful campsite directly on the fjord. Prices are 340 NOK for one motorhome with one person. The second person costs an extra 40 NOK. There is also a service fee of 22.80 NOK. Electricity costs extra. Plenty of open space. The showers are basic and small, two each for women and men. Hot water temperature cannot be adjusted. Payment at a terminal, online only!
Lovely view, but unfortunately that was the best part. There was no electric hook-up available for us as it was not a conventional plug-in connection. The showers were very poor: nowhere suitable to hang clothes, no space to change inside shower cubicle, and stool outside. After all that faff, there was then no hot water. For 430 NOK, paid by QR code, I really expected better. Not impressed.
Hello, practical campsite by the fjord and in the sun. Price today: 340 + 20.40 service fee.
Well-maintained site, beautiful location with a view of the fjord from most pitches. Price for a motorhome with two people, service fee, and electricity: 446.40 NOK, payable by credit card on the tablet at the sanitary building. Road audible. Showers can be used without time limits, but the temperature cannot be adjusted and is too cold for my taste.
Great campsite with terraced pitches, including some directly on the shore. The jetty by the water and the possibility of making a campfire are definite pluses! Very easy check-in and payment on the tablet. Slightly too few toilets and showers.
At first glance everything looks a little adventurous, but so far this is the best place. Registration on the tablet is very easy. Many pitches have fire pits, and the wood is free and available in sufficient quantities. The view of the fjord is very beautiful. Everything is included in the price: showers, water, and service facilities. There is also a washing machine and detergent.
402 NOK via the Campio app for one motorhome and two people, without electricity. Charming place. You cannot hear the road from the pitches by the water, and firewood is provided for the campfire.
Beautiful, simple campsite. You can pay and register via the tablet at the toilet building. SUP boards are also available for hire. Fire pits and free firewood included. The toilet is clean and orderly. The shower is fine too. Overall, you can camp here very well—and swim, of course.
Sweet little campsite right on the water. We paid 25 euros for two people and a camper. In return, there are clean toilets and showers as well as fresh water. Highly recommended!
We had almost driven past and are very glad we ended up here. A beautiful campsite that hosted us for two days because we liked the peaceful area so much. The facilities are not the newest but are very well maintained. Payment can easily be made via QR code.
Great campsite! Small but clean showers and toilets, wonderful views across the fjord to the Hardanger Bridge, and payment via QR code at the washhouse through Campio.
Best campsite!
Great location. The price-performance ratio is right.
A very beautiful, peaceful place with a view of the fjord, a jetty, and a boat. The sanitary facilities are very small and clean. There is SUP rental. We used the washing machine, but our laundry did not smell much better afterward than before. There is no dryer. In the hut where the SUPs are stored, we were still able to dry our clothes well using our own clothesline.
Very beautiful campsite, but make sure you choose the correct one—we initially ended up one campsite further on. Free firewood with fire pits, very pleasant and cozy in the evening. The location is truly stunning, among fruit trees with views of the fjords. Highly recommended. The facilities are somewhat less modern but very clean and perfectly adequate. We were there on 04/09, slightly outside the season, with hardly anyone else around.
Fine for one or two nights. Quiet at night, with virtually no noise from the motorway. Grey water was supposedly allowed to be discharged into the gravel, five meters from the lake. That seemed strange to us, so we did not do it. Toilet disposal is possible, and water can also be refilled.
The location is beautiful, especially the view if you have a nice pitch. At the end of August that was no problem and it was very quiet. The facilities are less clean: the shower cubicles are very small and impractical. Water from one cubicle flows straight into the next. When busy, it does not seem pleasant, and everything is far too cramped to share. The wood provided for making your own campfire is excellent.
Beautiful campsite with a great view. The fire bowls with free wood were a particular highlight. One point deducted for the sanitary facilities, which are neither the cleanest nor the newest.
