Rua Maria José Rijo, 8600, Luz
Been here?
Quinta Santo Anjo is a new motorhome area with large pitches, electricity, water, wastewater disposal, laundry, dishwashing facilities and a generally quiet setting. Ongoing works have left some waste and unfinished areas, while showers and toilets are not currently available. A recent stay cost 40€ for 1 night, and the washing machine cost 5€. The beach and shops are about a 10 minute walk away, and Camping-Car Park access costs €5, valid for life.

Stopped for one night from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. the next day; they charged me €40 and €5 for the washing machine! What a shame. I reported it to Camping-Car Park because it is expensive without showers or toilets.
Well-equipped site; the only thing missing is a bathroom. Otherwise, it is peaceful. We stayed only one night because it was very windy. Perhaps I will return one day.
Very pleasant hard-standing area, with large pitches, a washing machine, dishwashing sink, and all services.
New pitch, but not finished yet. The payment system is complicated; you have to top up credit to pay. Emptying and filling facilities are available. No showers and few dishwashing facilities for such a large site. Nearby is the town of Burgau, with many restaurants and small but beautiful beaches.
The site is very good and very new. There are shaded areas, although not many because the trees are still very young. You can tell it is very new. I think the electrical connection area is somewhat dangerous: there are lots of dry leaves and brush that could catch fire, so this needs improvement. The water comes from a well and is cloudy. It is suitable for showering and washing dishes, but I do not recommend filling your tanks.
I really liked this Parkup only a 10 minute walk to the lovely beach and shops and I had a peaceful nights sleep here. Yes there is ongoing works but would definitely stop here again if in the area
The area is unfinished, with construction, rubbish everywhere, even in the sinks, and the showers are not operational. The washing machine is connected by an extension cord running across the campsite. Rebar rods planted in the pitches serve as grounding points. The disposal area is at the back, requiring major maneuvers. There is another, cheaper motorhome area in Portugal that is much more finished.
I confirm that this place is paradise compared with everything we have seen since arriving in Portugal. The beach is nearby, with a restaurant, ice-cream seller, and souvenir shop. A doughnut vendor comes to the beach in his truck. The area is peaceful and beautiful. You can use a washing machine for €5. Wonderful for a quiet stop.
Excellent motorhome area. Very quiet, clean, and well organized, with all the facilities necessary for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent for visiting the region and access is easy. It is clearly well managed and constantly maintained. I highly recommend it to all motorhome travelers. Without a doubt, a place I will return to.
Excellent area in the Algarve with all services available! Thank you, Camping-Car Park, for expanding!
Nice site. It is now accessible with the Camping-Car-Park app. The showers and toilets are currently still unavailable.
I cannot recommend this place and find it far too expensive: €13 plus €3 for the shower and toilet for a completely unshaded gravel pitch! I followed the reviews here, which in my opinion are dishonest. Because of my honest review, the two of us in our motorhome were also rudely thrown off the site, which we would have left the next day anyway!
A super-quiet place, easy to reach. Very good service... the bathroom was quite good and the shower had excellent pressure and was very hot. The village is a few meters away, where you can walk and eat.
Friendly welcome! A quiet and secluded place on the edge of a beautiful village with a lovely beach. Everything necessary was available. Unfortunately, there was some construction noise due to renovations. The washing machine could not be used. The toilet building was clean, but also showing its age. The ground consists of coarse gravel. Once the renovations are finished, this will be a perfect place.
Lovely location. The place is simple, pleasant, and quiet. We planned to stay one night but stayed for four. Luz, Lagos, and Burgau are magnificent by bicycle. The welcome is very friendly. Thank you.
Nice spot to spend a few nights. People are very friendly. There is some construction being done but it didn’t bother us. The pitches are nothing special but large enough. It’s a 15 min walk to the center of Burgau (lovely town). There were quite a lot of insects (normal in a rural area) so make sure to use repellent when sitting outside and if possible use bug screens when opening doors/windows.
The site looks somewhat neglected, perhaps also because materials are lying around. More could really be done to improve and beautify it. It is clearly still being greatly expanded. Almost no shade, dusty, but conveniently located for walking or cycling to the pleasant beach at Burgau. €13 without electricity, shower, or toilet. Sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Friendly welcome.
Large motorhome area. The owner is very welcoming. The price is indeed €13 if you do not use any services. Close to the village and beach. Easily reachable on foot.
Wonderful place, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and it is quiet and beautifully located near the village. We paid €21, including showers and toilets.
Great location, not far from town. Very quiet. All amenities for only €21 (cash). Very welcoming and smiling staff. We also recommend the Miam restaurant just below the pier overlooking the beach (refined dishes, cosmopolitan and extremely helpful staff).
One of our best stops in Portugal! Such a great location, with Burgau within walking distance and Luz and Lagos reachable by bicycle.
I’m not giving it a higher rating because the app price does not match what they charge: we paid €19 for one night, two people, and a van without electricity. They should update it. The site is quiet and close to the village. Old but clean bathrooms. You cannot choose your pitch and, despite there being space, they group the vans together.
One night became three nights. I personally found the place very pleasant because it is very quiet here. I had an appointment in Luz, so this site was perfectly located. I was given a very friendly welcome. The showers are showing their age and may need renovation, and I find €3 very expensive. However, there is no time limit for showering.
It certainly does not offer the highest level of comfort. It is simple and pleasant. Simply nice. I would gladly see more places like this.
I was asked for €16 for a 5-meter van and one person. In the end, the place is quiet, with a laundry and toilets/hot shower. It is decent and the welcome was friendly.
Far too expensive for what it offers (no shade). We arrived and were told it was €19 (low season) for a van, two people, and no electricity... apparently the prices vary according to his whim.
A site in a quiet area. Nice stroll to the beach & cycle to Luz. €19 cash for two persons without electricity. Washing machine €5. The showers are hot. In my opinion could do with a bit of money being invested into the site.
Stayed for one night in a microcamper. Close to the town (bring a torch for the night, the road back is dark!), good size space, excellent hot showers!
Stopped for 2 nights. Such a lovely gem of a site with such friendly and helpful staff. The showers were hot and the washing machines were great. Only a 5 minute cycle ride or 15minute walk on to Burgau, which is gorgeous. Hope to return soon one day.
Very pleasant stop for cycling to Lagos. Simple but effective, with a very warm welcome.
A pleasant place very close to the small, lovely village. Friendly staff! Good and fresh laundry facilities. A little restrictive with only one men’s toilet, while the women have two. Super-cute sheep and goats live next door and create a wonderful atmosphere. We also enjoyed sitting and watching the stars, as the night was beautifully dark. We will return.
Area with all services for €17, or €13 without electricity. The services are in a cabin: one toilet and two showers. The ground is loose stones. There is no shade for the summer.
We spent one night and paid €20 for two adults and one child, without electricity. There are hot showers and a toilet. About a 10–15 minute walk to the village and beach. Very peaceful atmosphere.
A quiet place with old but clean sanitary facilities, not far from the village.
The basic rate is now €17, with all services included except electricity.
In itself, a beautiful location. The sanitary facilities were really old, with small, unclean showers. It is a nice spot and also suitable for reaching Lagos by bus. Because of the last two points, still four stars, but otherwise it would have been three.
Very quiet area. The showers are extremely old, with lots of mold, impractical and ... shared. On the other hand, the water is very hot. In addition to the basic rate, electricity, toilets, and showers cost extra: €21 total for one night (one motorhome and two people), payable in cash. Sewer smells can be unpleasant depending on the wind. Otherwise, the village is easily accessible and the restaurant is excellent. Smiling welcome.
Not bad at all. The sanitary facilities are a little old-fashioned but very clean. Super welcoming staff. We enjoyed our stay without a car!
Motorhome area near the village. Very quiet. Very pleasant welcome. Showers with hot water but somewhat dated. The bottle holders need replacing, but apart from that everything is very clean. There is a washing machine and dryer, plus a clothesline and pegs provided. Very pleasant. As for the ground, no problem in dry weather.
We loved staying here, the facilities are very clean and the staff very friendly. Very calm and quiet area and Burgau is lovely. Would definitely come back
OK as an emergency solution. Free choice of pitch, somewhat remote. We would not visit either the site or the town again.
Excellent value for money. Calm, organized place with adequate facilities. Proper service and very convenient location, close to the beach and the village. I recommend it.
Warning for dog owners: processionary caterpillars! In summer the site is probably great, with the washing machine, clothesline, and small picnic area. Currently, however, it is very muddy and has deep holes. We find €20 comparatively expensive here. We were also not warned about the processionary caterpillars, which are known to be extremely dangerous for our dog.
We really liked this campsite. It’s very peaceful and located near a charming village, with beautiful walks along the cliffs. Hardly any cars pass by, which makes it wonderfully quiet. We were lucky with the weather and appreciated being able to choose our own spot - the pitches are big enough. The showers were good and free to use. The dryer wasn’t working and there’s no drinking water
A cool camping spot. Yes, after so much rain some pitches have puddles, but at this time of year you can still find a good spot. A new washing machine and dryer are now available and work perfectly. Washing dishes with warm water is really great. I use the shower and toilet in the camper, so what more could you want? Thanks.
Muddy area. The dryer does not work. It is expensive. You have to pay extra for the showers. But there is a nice little village. The photos do not look anything like reality.
After the rain, the site is full of puddles, making it rather difficult to find a reasonably dry pitch. The sanitary facilities consist of a container with two toilets and two showers each, separated for men and women. Both are clean, and the showers provide hot water with sufficient pressure. Waste separation and wastewater facilities are suitable. About a 15-minute walk to Burgau beach with restaurants.
