1 Rampe du Château, 41100, Vendôme
Been here?
A few shaded parking spaces near the ruins and gardens of Château de Vendôme, close to the old town and picnic tables. The access and parking area are sloped, so chocks are advisable; vans and short motorhomes are the best fit, while larger vehicles may struggle. A 7 m motorhome with bicycles can fit when the car park is empty. Castle festivities take place on Sunday mornings during summer.

The shade, peace and charm of this place persuaded us to spend the night here (12–13 July). No difficulty parking sideways with a 7 m motorhome plus bikes, as the car park was empty when we arrived. Bring leveling blocks. There are festivities at the château every Sunday morning in summer, and our presence was no longer welcome once the car park filled up. However, there were no signs or restrictions.
Very quiet. Sloping road, so remember to bring leveling blocks. Picnic tables available. Close to the château. Clean place. It will remain a very good memory because PARIS were European champions that evening. :-)
Very good for vans, on a slope. Motorhomes can get in with a bit of luck by parking lengthwise. The château garden next door is quite nice.
Very quiet spot, but slightly sloped for short motorhomes. Very close to the château, which is currently under construction.
Not suitable for large motorhomes.
Great quiet spot close to the old town. Perfect for parking in the shade and taking a meal break before exploring the area!
I recommend it for a quiet overnight stay and visiting the château park and the town. Vans only.
