very convenient for getting into town. several shady pitches, children's playground. indeed no garbage cans available, this is a measure taken by the municipality which charges for access to the garbage cans, €6 for 24 hours.Translating
Clean camper area and close to the town, 15 minutes on foot. However, no garbage cans which makes the stay problematic (I've never seen that). No electrical outlets. no toilets. Just a water point and dumping area Lots of traffic from neighboring residents, lack of security. Backup area but not very interesting given the 15 euros requested per day.Translating
Meh area about 1km from the town (which by the way is very beautiful) but we are still looking for the area's garbage cans without having to leave it. In addition, a lot of traffic within the area by people living in the surrounding housing.Translating
Honestly I don't understand the negative criticisms of this area. Delimited pitch, quiet, parking-style area but with tree shade, no sign of degradation or dirt. Free water filling. 10 minutes walk from the city walking under the trees along the river.Translating
very quiet camper van area despite the proximity of apartments ideal for visiting the pretty town of PérigueuxTranslating
I don't feel comfortable here.Translating
hello everyone area in a deplorable state very very neglected maintenance grass not mowed with excrement Incessant traffic from locals water points opened very frequently by people walking through tree branches not pruned risk of damaging equipment all that for 15 € no thanksTranslating
Location to the city is great. No garbage cans is a bit strange, at the disposal station unfortunately such a push button for water, which provokes the usual cable tie attempts. No electricity, but cheaper than others. A few days ago probably a nocturnal incident in a completely dark place (see website).Translating
terminal that didn't work yesterday at 11 p.m. despite having a group card, I wanted to call support, closed at 11 p.m.Translating
Gets the job done, nothing more. Classic tightly-packed aire. Advantage: 10 min walk from old PerigueuxTranslating
A good place for us in transit. Filling up and disposing included and that at a top price of 9.32€. Every parking lot in any arbitrary city costs significantly more. Pitch incl. disposal station were top clean, the grass on the borders deep green and the wisteria on the barriers magnificently blooming. One point less for missing garbage cans.Translating
Well located area, close to the city center and the town is very beautiful. But there is no garbage can, you have to install an application and pay 5.9 €. This is excessive, we have already paid for parking and tourist taxes. There is no electricity and the area is poorly maintained, the lawnmower hasn't passed by in a long time. Incessant passage of locals.Translating
Very convenient for a stop over, but not very well looked after, grass overgrown, the sleepers are loose and slippery. Not one of you're best.
We stayed 2 nights during Easter and everything was very good. I don't understand the negative comments about the lack of security and dirt. Some people I don't know what they expect for 10€, for amenities you go to a campsite. Without further ado. Ideal for its proximity to visit the city, which by the way is gorgeous.Translating
Stayed here for two nights. Very quiet. Easy on foot to the beautiful city center. Little bit odd that the space is used as a short cut of the locals, but no problem with that. No bins on site, you need to go out in the back street. No dirt or trash could been seen. Felt safe & comfortable here.
Unlike previous reviews, we find it a neat and clean camper stop, everything except electricity is present. Garbage cans indeed not in the park, but at the gate at the back of the camper stop.Translating
The place is quietly situated and close to the city, but unfortunately an unkept appearance. The residual waste bins in the area are locked!Translating
narrow entrance for campers over 7 m sanitation is outdated, water pressure minimal, no garbage cans present, so people just leave it on the pitches, locals also walk their dog here and clean up nothing so watch where you walk, a one-off visit for us here.Translating
Garbage is gone now, but getting water takes forever since there is barely any pressure. Place currently not very visited.Translating
We stayed at the site in 2024 and now again. We didn't experience an "oppressive situation" because of the neighbors. Otherwise it's true, there is garbage at the utility station, and the residents walk their dogs on the site.Translating
Extremely disappointed with this location: no rubbish bin, it is dirty, with rubbish everywhere. We left immediately. The water flow is very low. The immediate surroundings of the apartment blocks did not make us feel confident leaving our vehicle while visiting Périgueux. There are other nearby and much more pleasant options. Avoid.Translating
Avoid!! This is clearly a dog park where nobody picks up after their dogs. There is no rubbish bin on site, so rubbish is left anywhere. The advantage of motorhome parks is that they are fully fenced and somewhat safer; not here at all.Translating
This has become a Camping-Car Park area, so avoid it... badly located, noisy and expensive.
Comfortable area with spacious pitches, water services and close to the centre. Easy access. You need an area card.
Warning: no rubbish bin, barrier does not open, very narrow and short spaces. The approach through narrow streets blocked by parked cars is problematic and there are no signs!
The area is located between several apartment buildings; a little surprising at first, but we had no problems with the neighbours. Very convenient for visiting the city, which is easily accessible on foot along the river.
Getting there is already complicated because of the lack of signs. The apartment buildings around it were a surprise, with people crossing everywhere. No electricity or rubbish bin, very poorly maintained. No signal reception at all. Shameful. If night had not fallen, we would have turned back. We will never return.
Good area and very close to the town. Four stars only because there is no electrical hookup.
The services provided work well. It is very well located for visiting Périgueux. There are residential buildings around, but they did not bother us at all. The only negative point is that there are no rubbish containers; you have to find them outside the area. Otherwise, very good. These areas inside cities should be looked after, as they make visiting much easier.
It is a shame that one motorhome is parked with a trailer, taking up three spaces. Another parked lengthwise and takes up two spaces. I have known this area for a long time and this is the first time I have seen this. It was not Camping-Car Park before, and it was cheaper for the same services.
A camping area, admittedly with some shortcomings, but pleasant. However, it is really unfortunate that there are no rubbish bins available. I think this is the first time I have noticed this omission. What a shame.
Great place to visit Périgueux. I also read a lot of complaining here, but why does everything have to be cheap and free, and then people complain that there is no electricity here? And those are people who have enough money to travel in a camper! Yes, a local resident occasionally crosses the area—so what?! Eleven euros for a quiet place close to the city is really not expensive. We thought it was perfectly fine.
I would give it five stars, but it is missing something—I do not know what—that would make it more pleasant. It is fine, with spacious pitches, a dumping point and water fill-up... but perhaps it needs more cleanliness, more flowers... I do not know, something.
Saw a comment about vehicles over 3500 but could not see a sign and nothing on CCP website. Is a 9metre limit but im sure there were longer. Site is a steady 20 minute walk along the river into the city. As other have noted its in a residential area and is used as a cut through by locals. Husband and another man had to approach a man playing loud music who did move but uncomfortable
Residents cross the area and children ride their bikes there... no rubbish bin (you have to pay extra!!!). A shame, because it is well located for visiting!
Clean, level site. Ideal for visiting the city. Everything was fine. Praise to the organisation: our questions were answered immediately by email. Thank you!
