Unnamed Road, 4440, Valongo
Been here?
4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
This is a high, scenic spot near a swing that is frequently visited during the day. The final approach is extremely steep, washed out and difficult, with high ramps, requiring all-wheel drive and substantial ground clearance. It is quieter for sleeping, with beautiful views and access to hiking routes.

Good heavens. It was almost dark, and the last section is extremely challenging. Only manageable with four-wheel drive and high ground clearance. I followed the route from Google. Extremely steep and washed out, with high ramps. High-clearance all-wheel-drive Sprinter. It can be done.
The view is beautiful. I can confirm that with a simple old Mercedes campervan (T2 LN1, no 4x4, but rear wheel drive) it is also possible to find your way up. Just don't go by your navigation the last kilometer, but use common sense and look around before you go up a road and you should be fine. Do make sure all things are nicely stowed away, because you're in for a steep rocky road :)
Very beautiful view, easily accessible by 4x4. We weigh 9 tons plus a trailer; the track is worth the effort. Good place to start hikes.
