Hofehainweg, 01848, Hohnstein
Been here?
A quiet, mostly sloping campsite near Hohnstein with unmarked pitches. Grey and black water disposal and drinking water are available for € 5. The sanitary facilities are new, clean and well maintained, while Wi-Fi is weak and mobile reception is unreliable. A bread-roll service is offered, and overnight stays are possible for 2 nights without problems.

I was able to dump grey and black water and fill up with drinking water for €5. Many thanks for this possibility!
Very beautiful and well-maintained site. Nice operators. Definitely worth a trip!!!
Beautiful, quiet motorhome site with everything you need. The sanitary facilities are clean, and bread-roll service is available. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is very weak. The service was fine—you get what you can expect from a campsite. Overall, a good place for a relaxing stay.
The site itself is quite nice. Very quiet and clean. We deducted points because there is only one key card for the sanitary building, Wi-Fi and mobile reception are virtually nonexistent (which really affected our further travel planning), and the electricity costs are very high (€3.50 just as a connection fee for the site manager to plug the connector into the socket).
Very friendly welcome and pleasant atmosphere. Perfect for relaxing after a hike. We spontaneously spent two nights there without any problems. Gladly again.
Stayed for 1 night. Looked like the nice pitches on the grass were either occupied or were only given to those staying longer. Facilities are decent but it's awkward you only get 1 card for entering the toilet/shower building. The bread rolls you could preorder for the morning were cold and weren't fully baked (the usual prebaked stuff). Electricity is charged based on use and is VERY expensive.
Very clean facilities. Unfortunately we are working from camper and need internet. Wifi on campsite is very unstable and not suitable for anything else than reading mails. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere.
A nice place with convenient services. Very tidy toilets and showers.
Very sunny, clean pitches at a peacefully located site. Friendly welcome. Opening hours for arrival and departure observed exactly to the minute. Our dog would have liked more walking opportunities away from roads. Otherwise, a lovely site.
Beautiful, secluded campsite near the Bastei. The sanitary facilities are top-notch and very clean.
The campsite is very well maintained and the sanitary facilities are clean. The staff are rather grumpy and offered no good tips or anything similar when asked. Difficult to get around without a car. There are no cycle paths, only the country road without a bike lane. The bus stop is not nearby. No restaurants within walking distance. Conclusion: It will do!
Very unfriendly and disrespectful operator, although the other employees are friendly. The operator cannot remember telephone reservations. All concerns are answered extremely brusquely. Most pitches are on a slope, with only a few exceptions. I have no idea where the good reviews come from.
Quiet hours are not observed. The lawn is mowed at midday, and the toilets are also visited noisily, with loud chatting, even after midnight. You need a vehicle to reach the attractions; there are no cycle paths.
Prices are no longer current: now €8.50 per person, €9 per motorhome.
Absolutely disrespectful and surly welcome. Where all the good reviews come from is inexplicable. In the rain, the site becomes one huge muddy puddle, making it very difficult not to get stuck. Showers cost extra (€0.80 for 3 minutes); you also have to plan in advance whether you want to shower and buy tokens accordingly—very inflexible! We will not return.
