This lay-by is part of a bend in the old road and may be suitable as a short stopover. It appears to be a dogging spot, with many cars present at 5pm in the dark. A brief stop felt uncomfortable enough to leave quickly.

This could be an OK stopover but now at 5pm in the dark there are an awful lot of cars here. I am only stopping on my way for half an hour and already can't wait to get away.
