Free roadside parking at a climbing/lake spot, right beside the water and the road. It's cost-free and offers lake views, with paths for cycling to nearby towns and a chance to swim. Traffic noise is a persistent issue overnight, though the road itself is fairly quiet at night; long motorhomes report it's one of few spots that fits them. No services are available. Not everyone finds it appealing after dark, as isolation puts some travellers off.

We spent the night here without any problems. However, there was a lot of noise from passing cars. If you have a long motorhome, this is the only place where we could park it.
We took a bike tour from here via Hergiswil (Glasi) to Lucerne and then had a picnic on the available benches. It is also nice for swimming in the lake! Free.
I arrived there at 9 p.m. and it was really too isolated right by the road, so I preferred to continue.
Quiet, secluded place with a view of the lake. By the road, but with little traffic at night. Excellent place to stop for one free night. No services.
Nice place beside the lake, peaceful for eating if you don't mind the sound of cars.
