Route des Salins, 73230, Saint-Jean-d'Arvey
Been here?
This gravel parking area by the village hall is mostly flat and offers a beautiful view of Granier. It is calm and pleasant, with nearby bins, a playground, football goals, picnic tables and a barbecue. Access is steep and tight, with a sharp bend, and may be difficult to exit.

Beautiful view of the Granier, calm and pleasant.
One star just to be able to write a comment. Access is via a very steep slope on a very tight bend, so getting out will also be more difficult! At almost midnight, we saw a group of tuning cars arrive; in addition to the noise, they stirred up dust from the gravel parking area. To be banned! Stay away! What a shame for this friendly town...
Flat and peaceful parking area, with a swing, a grass football pitch with two goals, and at night a sensor by the building door turns on a light if you pass nearby, which is reassuring in case someone approaches! Bins next to it for organic waste, plastic, and glass.
Great, peaceful parking area. The mayor and her deputy are very welcoming. The day we were there, there was a small outdoor film screening. For the waterfalls, it is better to park in the other parking area.
We arrived at this parking area where two cars were parked. Tonight there are several vans. It is fairly flat. The view is splendid. Bins nearby. Playground and barbecue available. Unfortunately, from 9 p.m. young people come without consideration, parking between the vans with music blasting.
Very useful parking area for campervans in St Jean d'Arvey. Access is a little narrow but manageable. Large, flat, gravel parking area.
Large parking area with shade. Barbecue and picnic table available.
Very practical for starting hikes, with excellent nearby shops. The mayor is very welcoming. I highly recommend this little parking area.
Flat gravel parking area next to a community hall, with a beautiful view. However, avoid it on weekends, when young people gather with drugs and alcohol. I do not recommend it.
Beautiful atmosphere. Hiking trails are very close by. Contrary to what is stated, there is currently no water. Good basic supplies are available very nearby from the baker, butcher, and greengrocer.
