This evening at 10:15 p.m. the police approached us and fined us €30 if paid immediately. Otherwise €130. Absolutely do not park after 10 p.m. This applies to vans, motorhomes, and cars. Sometimes it is possible to spend the night here, but not tonight. There is no warning on the dangerous crumbling rock edges caused by erosion. Great place in front of the Fortaleza de Sagres. I was there for two days in mid-March. Generally, overnight stays are prohibited, but the municipality tolerates us campers in the off-season. A big thank you for that! Compliments to all campers: no one behaved as if camping, no vehicle was jacked up, and there were no steps or solar panels outside. That is how it must be so that we continue to be tolerated.✦Translating

We were in this parking lot out of season and we had a pleasant stay, during the day it was very quiet and nobody bothered us. The parking lot is a bit sloping and it was windy there, on a windy day, but it is paved and although the parking spaces aren't any big we had no issues with a 23-foot-long motorhome. It was also completely free of charge and there are a few garbage bins available.✦Translating

Parking seems to be permitted overnight in the off season. Very large paved parking area marked for vans furthest from fort entrance but nearest town. Rather exposed except for one corner sheltered a bit by tall plants. There were roughly 20 vans / motorhome for the Saturday night we stayed, not at all crowded. Wonderful stay, here for the second time and once again enjoyed the beautiful cliffs. Museum: €5 for pensioners, otherwise €10; the price has risen considerably since three years ago. Overnight stays are currently allowed as long as you do not behave as if camping. The GNR regularly drives past.✦Translating

On the last days of December, the police came but didn’t check any of the nearly 100 campers. The ground is very uneven, with only a few spots where you can set up somewhat level without extra equipment. It’s a shame that some people do things that get such places closed to others - grills in the bushes, plastic containers, grey water dumped into the storm drains — why?✦Translating

Large paved parking area. The only camper facilities are rubbish bins. Quiet and safe, mostly young people who came to surf. We were delighted to see that young people can behave beautifully, with respect for nature and other people. Intermarché is about 2 km away. Beautiful beaches and views all around.✦Translating

I spent 3 days/nights here alongside many vans and motorhomes from different countries, mostly surfers. No services; the waste disposal point does not work, so come with your tanks emptied. The atmosphere is very good, peaceful and safe. The town of Sagres has two supermarkets with everything you need.✦Translating

Despite the previous comments about the prohibition on staying overnight, I think there is a mistake because there are at least 50 motorhomes here tonight in this large paved parking area next to the fort. The sign indicates a prohibition for caravans, not motorhomes. Given the number of vans and motorhomes in the surfing area, they have to organize overnight parking.✦Translating

Spacious, fairly level parking area about 100 metres from the Fortaleza de Sagres. A few minutes away is an Intermarché petrol station with a car wash and pay-per-use water supply.✦Translating
