Roadside parking, daytime busyness

Awesome little parking spot immersed in nature. Peaceful night’s sleep, lovely views of the waterwheel, idyllic walks on the many public footpaths, and paradise for dog walkers. A super walk into Bourton-on-the-Water takes about 25 minutes. Welcoming village inn serving food and drink. A little gem of a wild parking spot in the Cotswolds—please take care so others can enjoy it too.

Great parking spot with nice walks to Upper and Lower Slaughter. We planned to stay one night but liked it so much that we stayed two. Great access to Bourton-on-the-Water and Hawkstone Brewery.

Loved this place and ended up staying two nights. A short walk to Lower and Upper Slaughter. Bourton-on-the-Water is only a 25-minute walk away. Some traffic during the day, quiet at night. Busy at weekends, and presumably during high season.

This is an amazing parking lay-by. A short walk into Lower Slaughter, and the water mill is beautiful. Coffee van near the mill. Great walk up to Upper Slaughter. Fabulous views and houses.

Pulled up here for one night and found it easily using Waze. Not much traffic passed during the night, so it was relatively peaceful. The main village is a three-minute walk away, perfect for a morning coffee at the inn.

Great little spot, just through Lower Slaughter towards Upper Slaughter. Slight incline but a wonderful location.

Excellent place to spend the night. Calm and quiet—you can hear owls hooting. Acorns fall from the tree in autumn. Relatively level; we were slightly tilted towards the road. As the road is narrow, please keep well to the inside so two vehicles can pass. Easy access to the Slaughters via walking paths along the mill.

Good spot between Upper and Lower Slaughter. Relatively level and hardly any traffic at night.
