Dünencamping Amrum

Modern campsite. Pitch a little small for motorhomes. Excellent sanitary facilities. The North Sea is far away.

Great campsite in the dunes on the northern edge of Wittdün. Smooth booking, friendly welcome, small shop, clean sanitary facilities, and all utility and disposal options. Unfortunately expensive: for three nights with two people and a panel van, we paid €200 for the cheapest pitch in mid-May. On top of that, the return ferry cost €250—the ferry company has a monopoly.

Superbly located in the dunes—perfect for camping in a tent!! The sanitary facilities are very clean, with plenty of washing-up and seating facilities, especially great for tent campers :) Otherwise, everyone is very kind!

We wanted to book Dünencamping Amrum, but immediately decided against it when we saw €376.20 for seven days in March for a standard pitch for two people. Completely excessive for camping in the low season. If a hotel is cheaper, something is wrong. At these prices, we can only advise against camping here. Unfortunately, I have to give one star.

We stayed at the campsite for two weeks. The sanitary facilities were always dirty. We will not visit this campsite again.

It felt like coming home. We were welcomed at 7:45 p.m. by a nice, friendly employee who showed us our pitch and explained everything. Our pitch was right in the middle of the dunes. Everything was clean and well maintained, with staff who put their heart and soul into their work. We had a wonderful time with you and will definitely return.

Super campsite, first class. Everything you need. But if you want to save money, you should go somewhere else. It is the only campsite, so there is no competition. That is why the prices are a little too high.

Very good campsite with friendly owners, super-clean, spacious and modern sanitary facilities. A dog shower for our dirty dog was just what we needed! You have everything you could imagine here. We’ll gladly return.

We were at the campsite in the low season, so we cannot say anything about the sanitary facilities. We felt comfortable here. The dune hiking trail is very beautiful. The beach is unbeatable in its vastness. The birdlife is very diverse.

The only pitch on the island. Open in winter for self-sufficient campers. Waste disposal and servicing are possible. The assigned pitch was surrounded by seasonal campers, with a backyard atmosphere and building materials stored in many places. Far too crowded in summer; now we were alone. For two people, one dog, tourist tax and electricity, almost €90 for two nights in the low season is not cheap, plus €240 for the ferry.

A top campsite for anyone seeking nature and peace. Extremely dog-friendly and especially quiet on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Absolute peace—not even a sparkler. The most relaxing New Year’s Eve we’ve had in seven years, for us and our little Emma. The site is clean. The sanitary facilities are closed in winter, but motorhome servicing is available. The welcome was very friendly and warm. We’ll return.

The location is unbelievably beautiful, right in the middle of the dunes. It is almost impossible to do better. The walk to the beach and water is worth it. The staff are very friendly! The sanitary facilities are very clean, as they are thoroughly cleaned every day. Dog-friendly!

Beautiful site with clean sanitary facilities. In the rear section you stand directly in the dunes. We were at the front by the car park, which was absolutely fine. Occasional construction noise slightly spoiled the otherwise positive overall impression.

We stayed here for two weeks. Great site, super-friendly welcome, wonderful atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are very clean and cleaned several times a day. The restaurant is excellent and offers top quality. There is also a small shop on site with everything you need. If we could, we would give six stars. We will definitely return.
