Been here?
This is a free parking area beside a swimming area, with a 24-hour stay limit and clean toilets with warm water. Gray- and black-water disposal, waste bins, picnic tables, barbecues and ample space are available, but there is no fresh water or shower. The swimming area includes water attractions and nearby recreational facilities. The dam and river create loud rushing water around the clock, while the area can become busy in warm weather.

Several free car parks available, limited to 24 hours, located near a landscaped body of water with inflatable structures on the water and a beach. Playground in the upper car park with football and badminton areas, a table-tennis table, and equipment available. Numerous picnic tables. 5 toilets with sinks available. Free waste-disposal area.Translating
Very good overnight parking area, free for 24 hours, with waste-disposal facilities. No fresh water and no showers! Very clean toilets with hot water! Thank you to the municipality!Translating
Very well organized, plenty of space, and clear instructions about parking while keeping 4 m apart. Beautifully located by the water, where you can swim. Maximum 24 hours. It is very busy, though; in warm weather people come and go constantly. You will not find true peace and quiet here. Toilets, bins, and waste-water drainage are available. Officially, you cannot refill water here; there is a sticker saying it is not drinkable.Translating
Lovely lake for swimming and relaxing - for all ages. Clean toilets. And all for free.
By the river, there is the sound of the waterfall, but it is still more pleasant than the motorway! The setting is lovely, with a great swimming area and water games. Bins, toilets, picnic tables, and a barbecue. Grey- and black-water disposal area. It says the water is not potable, so we did not fill our tank there, but if you do not drink it, it is perfect.Translating
Beautiful spacious place beside a really loud, rushing stream. Small, clean service station by the road with everything you need. However, we moved to the pitch at the museum, only a few meters farther away. It was significantly quieter.Translating
We were able to spend the night here comfortably. There is plenty of space at the moment, and the location by the water is really beautiful. The loud rushing of the river and dam did not bother us at all. The water and waste-water services are easy to access. However, we couldn't flush the toilet today, and there is no drinking water.Translating
A very beautiful place for an overnight stay. Enough space and tidy facilities.Translating
Good spot for one night, little traffic. Very loud water noise, so we crossed over to sleep on the other side. Note that the grey- and black-water services are closed.Translating
We did not stay overnight. Although it is free parking with several spaces, the facilities are excellent and clean. Even during the day, the road is not very busy. We filled up with non-potable water, and the hot water in the toilets was a welcome bonus.Translating
One of the best pitches of my entire trip! Large, connected to nature, and little traffic. There is also a small sanitary facility. The stream is somewhat loud, which some people will certainly find annoying. For me, still 5/5 stars.Translating
Motorhome area at the end of the road, on the right, very flat, with plenty of space between each motorhome. Quiet night. Black- and grey-water drainage, but the water is not potable.Translating
We were in this parking lot on a rainy day and we had no issues with our motorhome as the ground was still hard. Around 3 PM we easily got a place as only a few motorhomes were there and it was very quiet, we could hear was the noise of the nearby stream but it didn't bother us. It was completely free of charge, and the facilities, even though we didn't use them seemed very clean and functional.
Great place!!! Spacious pitches and sanitary facilities that are also okay.Translating
Great place! But people, read the sign and respect the rules... It really isn't that difficult. There are 3 different parking areas; find your own spot!Translating
Amazing spot. Water is very clear. 24h for free. Thanks for the town to offer this!
Large parking area with excellent services. Barbecues. Nearby beach with children's playgrounds.Translating
Very quiet place by the river. Tables and a barbecue available. Clean, heated toilets. Excellent spot to spend the evening and night.Translating
Large, free area with toilets and waste/water facilities, but no electricity. It does have a great swimming lake with floating islands, seating areas, and a playground. Maximum stay 24 hours. People regularly come by and photograph license plates to check compliance. Highly recommended!Translating
Clean bathrooms, the sound of the waterfall is incredibly relaxing, and there is a swimmable lake with a small beach, inflatables in the water, and a playground. Plenty of benches and tables around the water. We arrived at 11 p.m. on Sunday and there were already 8 other motorhomes and vans parked, but we found a flat spot. Truly spectacular.Translating
Free gravel area right by the stream. There are benches, bins, and toilets. Unfortunately, the service point was broken during our stay. We ended up here by chance because we had actually planned to visit the silver mine, which was unfortunately closed. You can swim very well in the stream, though—it is all very well set up. The dog loved it too.Translating
Free area with a maximum permitted stay of 24 hours. Quiet even on Friday evening. The river swimming area is very well maintained and equipped with chairs, tables, children's games, inflatables, and platforms in the water (the photos do not do this place justice). The bathrooms were not particularly clean, so we did not use them. A drinking-water tap would have been useful. Grey-water and chemical-toilet disposal available and working.Translating
A little farther on, it is now divided into bays. Free overnight stay for 24 hours. You need to be self-sufficient. Also, when the bin is full, do not pile rubbish on top so that it can fall off. I stayed here thanks to the community. Please leave it available for everyone.Translating
Great place; farther up along the road there are also two more parking areas. Unfortunately, the required 4-meter spacing is only partially observed.
Spectacular motorhome area. Parking with water and waste facilities, allowing a 24-hour stay. About 50 meters farther ahead than the map pin is another, better parking area, as you cannot hear the constant waterfall noise there and it is quieter and flatter. Swimming area, beach, table football, table tennis, inflatables in the water. Thanks to the municipality for such a place. Now we all need to take care of it.
A very beautiful, quiet place. Swimming facilities, hiking trails, and the silver mine can be visited. Clean toilets—we would definitely come back.
o Wow, super nice place, there is much more parking spaces, like a 50m above the original pin. very nice swimming area, must be great when temperatures are high and minning museum. On the upper spot the sound of the river is very quite and comfy.
Excellent, beautiful location with swimming facilities and clean sanitary facilities. It gets relatively full toward evening.
Good place, but also well visited. We still found a very good pitch at 4:30 p.m. Relaxed, beautiful location. Clean sanitary facilities.
Everything has already been said about the pitches. Everything is great. We did not visit the mine; the 11 a.m. opening time was too late for us.
Great place. Swimming lake with lovely attractions for children. A visit to the silver mine is also highly recommended. You ride deep into the mine on a mining train and get an excellent guided tour. Tickets are available on site or online. Toilet and grey-water disposal are well organized. No electricity.
Magnificent! Perfect for spending a night with children: swimming facilities and outdoor games nearby. Thanks to the municipality for all the amenities.
Great for taking a break with the children on the way to Bergen. Swimming area in the river with inflatables. Perfect for a picnic! Motorhomes can park for up to 24 hours.
We stayed on the second level. Very pleasant. We had great weather and went swimming there. There are toilets, although we did not use them. In the evening, many locals come to swim or walk their dogs. For information: the parking area consists of fine gravel, which then gets everywhere inside the vehicle.
We stayed there for one night. The river is very loud, but it did not bother us (ASMR) ;-) The toilets were great, even with a power outlet.
Large gravel area with sanitary facilities. We still got a place at 6:30 p.m.; several other motorhomes arrived afterward. Basically, the place is quiet, with hardly any cars, but the rushing stream is there. It was not a problem for us.
The lower area is marked as the destination. Since the waterfall is very loud, I recommend using the second parking area a little farther up, about 50 meters away. It is divided into bays and has level pitches. The noise level is considerably lower.
Very beautiful, as mentioned several times already! The service point is NOT drinking water! Otherwise, everything is great!
Perfect place to stay and I completely agree with the previous reviews. Plenty of room for several campers if you are used to staying in places like this. Neat toilets and a good place to dispose of waste and fill up with water.
Beautiful place. You can stay for 24 hours. There are several parking areas, all flat. Suitable for long vehicles. Free grey-water and black-water disposal and water filling, all working perfectly. Barbecue area, picnic area, swimming, grass, toilets, USB charging. Bike routes nearby.
