Luitpoldstraße, 85356, Freising
Been here?
Four free, unserviced motorhome spaces are located on a large gravel car park behind the station. The old town is 15 minutes away on foot, while the station provides access toward the city center. The site is usually shaded until afternoon and sunny from about 15:00, but can be busy with cars on weekday mornings.

There are four designated motorhome spaces in the very large car park. The sign is almost invisible under the trees. You are in the shade until the afternoon, then in full sun from around 3 p.m. Free, with no services whatsoever. The old town is a 15-minute walk away. I stayed from Sunday to Monday. The weekend is quiet, but there is a lot of activity from Monday morning.
When approaching this "pitch," be sure to note that the motorhome spaces are not specially marked and that it is located directly behind the railway station. On weekday mornings it is full of cars.
Not beautiful but practical. Old town not far away. Usually quiet at night. No services; there is a bin at the front by the buses.
Simple car park with spaces for motorhomes. Close to the city center and the Isar.
The site is currently closed because of road construction. Alternatively, you can go to the Lerchenfeld, Savoyer Au car park on Ismaninger Straße.
Easy parking near old town, good for oné night on the way
We pulled in with no problem there was 4 other vans the car park is busy by 8 in morn but nobody bothered us park and ride into town us excellant and litterlly drops u off at the car park we felt very safe no facilities but it’s free. The town is lovely
Okay for visiting the city. We didn't feel comfortable staying overnight. Free, no services.
Good pitch, also suitable for large motorhomes. Possibility of swimming in the Isar nearby.
Great quiet place near the town center. Public toilets in a separate building next to the railway station.
The place is okay, but the biting-fly infestation here is annoying. It is even worse elsewhere, though???
Thanks to the city. Three minutes into town.
An unattended motorhome site within walking distance of the old center. Many commuters, so there is some social control, but we did not feel comfortable leaving our motorhome here safely and unattended. Four motorhome spaces, but it is basic and no better than a spot along the autobahn. Maximum parking time is 24 hours; we saw this being enforced.
Noisy because of the adjacent park-and-ride access road at night until 1:30 a.m. and again from 4:30 a.m. I had to take the train to Munich early in the morning; otherwise I would have looked for another overnight spot.
Good place to sleep, even though it is near a road. Five minutes on foot from the village, which can be reached through the railway underpass.
Excellent for one night or for visiting Freising. Also suitable for large motorhomes.
