Sheephill Road, S11 7TU, Sheffield
Been here?
This is an off-road parking area with scenic views, woodland surroundings and a pub nearby. The initial car park is steep, while the track uphill is extremely rough, deeply rutted and unsuitable for many motorhomes. Higher-clearance vans may find quieter, wider pull-ins further up, but the area is uneven and attracts walkers.

If you have enough room under your vehicle, go up the hill, there’s enough room for a couple of vans but the road is extremely rough with big crevices, we managed it in a sprinter camper van but do have upgraded suspension so sits quite high. If you make it up there it’s extremely quiet and remote, just a few dog walkers and the odd highways vehicle passing up till around 10pm. Amazing views
Not recommended for motorhomes but great park-up for a light van with plenty of suspension travel, as per previous posts I carried on up the hill about 250m beyond the car park (is an unrestricted byeway so think that's all legit) and it flattens out and widens out enough that you can park up without obstructing access in any way. Great views down over Sheffield.
Nice spot with great views and idyllic woodlands, but the first car park is steep and busy and no way would my Caddy have got further up the track with its sump intact. Had to go elsewhere.
Quiet, out-of-the-way spot, but very uneven—my phone's spirit level showed about 8 degrees. Probably only suitable if you have leveling blocks.
Good spot not far from the Norfolk Arms pub. Very bumpy road to the top, but worth it for the views and the quiet! Dog walkers in the morning.
Park as far up the track as you can for the least disturbance. It's massively bumpy, but we'll worth the effort. There are a couple of pull-ins up there and the 4G signal is as fantastic as the views. Lots of dog walkers in the morning and throughout the day. A mega 6 mile, spectacular circular with lots if options for shorter or longer routes. One of my favourites.
