River parking, daytime only

The village is beautiful, but it is not worth spending a penny there. I don't know whether this kind of regulation prohibiting vehicles over 5 metres from parking is legal. Photo attached.

Empty motorhome parking area, but the app shows the green parking area as full… and there is no option for vehicles over 5 m. Everything is absurd; small vans park without problems… this persecution of motorhomes makes no sense.

I don't really understand what the latest comments are about… There are very clear signs. You can obviously park in the designated parking zones—there are 6 or 8—and parking is allowed from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Parking vehicles over 5 m is prohibited throughout the village, except in the paid area. I intended to eat and visit the village, but decided to continue on my way. I don't spend my money where I am not welcome.

If you spend the night, the local police or Civil Guard will fine you. Restrictions apply to motorhomes and vehicles over 5 m long and 1.9 m wide.

Perfect for a daytime visit. At 9:30 a.m. the police came to warn us; if we did not leave, the Civil Guard would come and report us. Overnight stays are prohibited for any vehicle over 5.5 m. Honestly, I don't know where we are supposed to go if the official area is full and there are few options.

They are going to make us go skiing in France and everywhere else. What a difference.

€80 fine for ignoring the no-parking sign. All the other vehicles had parked on the same street. Motorhomes are not welcome. They cannot discriminate against vehicles. We will not return.

Very quiet parking area; we spent the day visiting the village. Near the river, bars and a children's playground. Easy access and spacious parking spaces.

Good place to visit the village, but beware: there are roadworks and the route sends you along a road where meeting another large vehicle is intimidating.

Signs say overnight stays are not allowed. The village is beautiful, but the worst part is that the access road is closed and you are diverted onto a narrow road with heavy traffic. Not worth it; everything is closed.

We stayed because the motorhome area was full, and we did not know until we arrived that it required a reservation. It was August 2–3, when the festivities were beginning, and the parking area was full of caravans staying overnight, belonging to fairground workers and tourists, so we decided to stay. There is indeed one sign saying overnight stays are not allowed from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Surprisingly quiet night despite the DJ in the square.

Parking in the village is perfect if you want to walk around and visit for a few hours. IN JULY DURING THE FESTIVITIES IT IS OCCUPIED BY FAIRGROUND WORKERS AND BAR STALLS. Either you pay €10 in the official area just to take a walk, or you cannot park anywhere. The town hall should provide parking during the festivities, because it is impossible to park high-profile motorhomes; there is only one space and it has a height limit.

You are not allowed to stay here; campers are prohibited! There is a camper site a little further back where you can.

It is a shame that where you could previously spend the night for free, it is now only daytime parking. In exchange, a little earlier they have introduced a paid area for €10, and you have to leave before 12:00 a.m., regardless of your arrival time. The paid area was empty on the first weekend of June, with only 2 motorhomes. The village was deserted, just like the free parking area. This is not the way, Sallent, definitely not.

Beautiful village; I don't understand why overnight stays are not allowed when they have an excellent parking area.

Very beautiful village, but they don't want you to spend the night there unless you pay. A municipal officer told us that no vehicle in which it could be assumed someone could sleep could be parked after 10 p.m. This applies to the 7 surrounding hamlets as well.

lovely little town, good walking routes. we checked with the Spanish van people parked next to use, they had been there no problems for two nights, we stayed one. next parking rules in Spain in favour of motorhomes, but you must stuck to the rules on the notice board.

Just confirming the comments: we could not access the 'empty' paid area either because of complications with the banking website. Overnight stays without camping are allowed in the municipal area… pity they do not install more services, only parking. It filled up with motorhomes and campers.
