Karl-Marx-Straße 40, 99817, Eisenach
Been here?
A central motorhome area for 10 vehicles beside a supermarket, offering water, waste disposal, and electricity. Waste disposal is free, water costs 1 euro for approximately 60 liters, and electricity has recently cost 1€ for 4 hours; the nearby railway and supermarket deliveries can be clearly heard. The center, bus station, and railway station are about 10 minutes away on foot, making it practical for city visits.

Great campsite with waste-disposal facilities and electricity. The railway noise is not really bothersome; the unloading of trucks at Netto is clearly audible, but acceptable for a city campsite and not permanent. The city center, central bus station, and train station are each about a 10-minute walk away.
The site is spacious, offers everything you need, and is absolutely central for exploring the city, museum, and castle. The noise from the railway and Netto deliveries is somewhat high, but the fact that the city provides this space as a campsite is remarkable. Thank you for that! We would gladly come again.
We like the facilities, including the service and disposal area. Having Netto next door is a mixed blessing: great for shopping, but the truck delivery at 4 a.m. was incredibly loud. Then there is the railway. At least for us, it affected our ability to sleep peacefully. The walk into town is short, which was excellent.
March 4, 2026. Centrally located campsite. Netto and the railway line are opposite. It is somewhat noisy as a result, but that did not bother us. Recommended!
Fine for one night; the railway is clearly audible. Electricity costs €1 for 4 hours, and the water was turned off due to frost.
The ideal campsite for sightseeing and an overnight stay. Eisenach has many different restaurants, so everyone will find something. The nearby railway is not bothersome at night. The service and disposal facilities and payment system worked without any problems.
The site is conveniently located, and having Netto directly opposite is also an advantage. Unfortunately, the railway runs right behind it and is clearly audible, even at night. The electricity does not work. There is also no notice that the power column is switched off. You can insert money, but it does not come back out. What a shame.
Campsite close to the city center.
The site is perfectly fine. Electricity is available for coins, which is useful in winter since solar power produces nothing. Maximum length 8.5 m. Surprisingly quiet at night; daytime is fine too, as you are out anyway. Very good location, a few minutes' walk from the city center. Or take the bus to the Wartburg. The Christmas market there is excellent, though unfortunately it is only open on weekends. Netto is on the other side of the road.
Absolutely unacceptable and should not be called a campsite, since when you step out of your motorhome you walk directly in front of the neighboring motorhome. Suitable for panel vans, but they have to park in the other large spaces. No green area at all for dogs. It does have direct access to the city, but that is all. We used it reluctantly for one night at too high a price.
We came here to use the service and disposal facilities. Emptying the chemical toilet and gray water is free; filling up with water costs €1. Everything worked perfectly.
We used the site once for the service and disposal facilities; everything worked perfectly.
Good campsite! A little tight in the smaller spaces, but no problem for one night. Payment and the service and disposal facilities were easy and trouble-free. Despite being in the city center and near traffic, we had a quiet night. The city center is worth visiting!
Ideal campsite for exploring Eisenach. Good value for money. Bus route 3 takes you close to the Wartburg and Dragon Gorge, which you can then explore on foot. Electricity is still €1 for 4 hours. That should be changed; it is no longer up to date. Thanks to the city for providing this site.
A very well-located parking area near the center, with waste-disposal facilities.
We disposed of our waste here; everything worked perfectly. Many thanks to the city for providing the facility.
Easy access drive over grey and cassette emptying. Recommended. We chose to stay at the Blue P icon north 200m. Same prices.
Practical campsite near the old town, a 5-minute walk away. There are 5 normal-sized spaces and 5 very, very tight ones, more like parking spaces. Prices can always be debated, but we do not expect everything to be free—the cars in the city center also have to pay—and here you do not have to search: drive there, park, pay, and enjoy Eisenach.
We were only here for the service and disposal facilities; everything was great. Water costs €1.
Good, convenient place. A little expensive considering that electricity and fresh water cost extra. It allows you to spend a quiet night, stock up easily, and the town is architecturally beautiful.
Close to the city center. Not suitable for very large motorhomes.
It really is only a parking area. Four spaces are fine; the others are far too narrow and short, making parking a challenge for motorhomes with a living module. The service and disposal facilities are excellent. The railway is very loud during the day; fortunately, nothing ran at night. "Great" was the colleague who had to spend about 15 minutes reversing out at 4:15 a.m. with the air conditioning running. :-(
Well-located campsite with the service and disposal facilities as described. Payment did not work as expected: I requested €10, the minimum amount, but €14 was charged as a day ticket.
Free waste disposal is available. Fresh water costs €1.
The spaces are well maintained, though some are quite narrow. The location is excellent. The old town is about 5–10 minutes away. We really like having a supermarket opposite. Service and disposal facilities are available. Highly recommended for a city trip to Eisenach.
A campsite of the kind one would like to see more often and in many more municipalities. Close to the center, with all service and disposal facilities available. The spaces are paved and well maintained.
