Unnamed Road, 117531, Vâlsănești
Been here?
A peaceful, well-kept campsite beside a small lake, with hedged pitches overlooking the water and opportunities for fishing, boating and kayaking. Each plot has electricity and water, while showers, toilets, a dining area, barbecues and campfires are available; meals can be taken at the nearby pension. The access road is bumpy but manageable, and 2 persons with a motorhome cost 25€/night.

This small campsite, somewhat off the road, is absolutely dreamy. It lies beside a small lake, and from the pitch you always look out over the water. The owners are very nice and open. The owners’ dogs also protect the place and enjoy being petted. We had a short but wonderful time. Thank you <3
Great site by a small lake with many fish and freshwater turtles. We stayed for one night. The road there is very well signposted and easy to drive, although there are a few small potholes. It is easy to reach via Google Maps. When you open the gate, an information board with all the details is right there. The host speaks English and is very nice. Cash payment only, in lei or euros.
Beautiful pitch. Everything is clean, and the pitches are separated by hedges. There is a view of the small pond, where you can fish. The family lives opposite; you can also eat very well there, and there is a pool. If nobody is there, open the gate; the phone number is on the information board. The owners have three lovely, friendly dogs. Sanitary facilities are okay. Hot water is available.
Very friendly welcome, very well-maintained grounds and sanitary facilities, and meals are available at the guesthouse at the campsite. Everything mentioned in the description above is available. Quiet and rural location. The entrance is poorly signposted, but easy to find with navigation.
Beautiful campsite! We were looking for a safe place surrounded by nature, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The campsite is fenced, we had it all to ourselves, and two lovely dogs we named Blueberry and Strawberry kept us company the whole time. The owner even let my husband fish on the condition that he released every fish. We would happily come back!
Some German-language comments make you shake your head and apologize to the hosts. Here you find a little paradise beside a pond that is second to none in the German-speaking world. Clean sanitary facilities (the arrangement of the toilets is amusing :-)). Anyone seeking peace and a natural setting WITHOUT Wi-Fi will find a unique place here. Five and a half stars from us!
We found a wonderful, quiet pitch here, first for one night and then even a second. The road was very bumpy but manageable with our camper. Nobody was there when we arrived, but after a short phone call we were able to use everything. The sanitary facilities were clean, although arranged somewhat unconventionally. A place for those seeking peace and quiet! Perfect for us.
Beautifully laid-out campsite in a wonderfully quiet location. Two people with a motorhome cost €25 per night. The still-under-construction sanitary building has two toilets and two showers in a row, an amusing construction error! The water smells stale, as does the drain. A shame—with a little thought and care, this could be a top destination in Romania.
Great campsite with a view of the pond. The approach along a dirt road makes it feel like an overnight stay at the end of the world. Friendly service, and wolf-like dogs guard the place and play with guests. Recommended!
Admittedly, a beautiful place in nature, but… the access road is a nightmare for vehicles that are not off-road capable. The signs are not small but microscopic! Charging €24 for this is quite ambitious. We declined and drove on.
A wonderfully beautiful place by the lake. Everything is available. The operator warmly welcomed us with a bottle of homemade plum brandy and gave us many tips about sights. The deduction is only because the toilets are arranged one behind another rather than side by side.
A very beautiful location, all the facilities, large camping spaces but above all an extraordinary owner/host. Although the campsite was not open we were welcomed and allowed to camp with all the facilities at our disposal, something like that is rare, thank you once again :).
Very beautiful place. The road is vert bad and be careful to look it up on google maps before putting this link into your sat-nav because the link in here does point you towards a wrong place across the river.
The site is beautifully located, clean, and quiet. The dogs are extremely trusting and lovely, and reliably keep bears away from the grounds. The hot water is said to smell like rotten eggs because of the high sulfur content found in the region; the water is even healthy. The hosts are simply very nice and interested. We will definitely return!
Idyllically located and well-maintained pitches. For €30 you get, unfortunately, no hot water for showers, no Wi-Fi, complete darkness at night with no lighting, and drinking water that smells like rotten eggs. The value for money is simply not right. Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot give a better rating at present.
Lovely peaceful small site with large, flat, grassy pitches. Friendly welcome by the owner and his gorgeous 3 dogs. Recommended.
Very nice owners and friendly fellow campers. We were even invited to dinner in the evening. Very idyllic and rural.
The road to the campsite is quite poor, but the campsite is great. It is very peaceful and well maintained; the bathrooms have hot water, two showers, and two toilets. The owner is very friendly and hospitable, and the restaurant is also good. Dogs guard the campsite for security. I recommend it.
