Been here?
Paying motorhome area with a strict 72-hour maximum stay. Large, well-shaded spaces near Giraudière beach and shops. Costs €14 per night; water is charged at €3 for 100 litres and must be collected outside the parking area. Only one toilet serves the entire area, and recent visitors report it is often broken or occupied. Mosquitoes are a significant problem. Drainage and waste disposal are available but household waste is also charged.

The area is good because the spaces are large and there is plenty of shade, but there are two major drawbacks: killer mosquitoes, and the bathroom either does not work or is always occupied—only one bathroom for the entire area. Even so, these areas are appreciated because the island is full of parking areas with height restrictions.
Shaded area, close to shops, the cycle path, and the beach.. The only minor drawback is the neighboring parking lot where young people gather at night..
Surprisingly few people, much to our satisfaction! Shaded spot. However, we find it excessive to pay an extra €3 for 100 liters; moreover, you have to move out of the way to fill up.
Perfect for one or two nights.
Quiet, clean facilities, very good for the price, all services included.
It does the job, but nothing special. Lots of mosquitoes; we had to eat indoors.
Shaded area, but €14 per night with no services. Water costs extra, there are no bins, and the toilets are out of order…
We spent one night here. Quiet parking lot in this season, nicely shaded, close to shops. Very good.
We arrived at night and realized early in the morning that this large area is divided in two by large rocks. The paid section costs €14 plus tourist tax and has electric hookups and water for motorhomes. The other side is free, with a 2.10 m height limit for vans and cars. One outdoor toilet serves both areas. The free parking is available day and night, shaded, and close to amenities: bakery, restaurant, and shops. Access is behind U Express.
Very nice, quiet, shaded spot. The water supply was out of order for a weekend, so it was not repaired. In addition, it is forbidden to put even a table outside to eat; a sign at the entrance says this is not a campsite, and a municipal order enforces it. What a shame. We will not return, which is even more regrettable for the small-market vendors, who could really use our business at this time of year.
Thanks to the municipality for this area. Quiet, shaded, flat place. A small water problem was resolved very quickly by a very friendly municipal official.
A quiet little spot, close to everything: toilets, Super U, laundromat, cycle path, and beach. The only drawback is the water flow: 60 liters instead of 100 liters for €3.
Very noisy area next to the campsite! Bins and water cost extra, and the facilities are unusable because they are so disgusting! The only positive point is the ocean, a 10-minute walk away. I find it very expensive compared with the areas at Saint-Denis or the château, which have toilets and showers for only a few euros more.
Ideal location, shaded, with all the necessary services: water, electricity, toilet and wastewater disposal, bins... Next to a campsite, but we were not bothered by the noise. About €14 for 24 hours, plus €3 per 100 liters of water if needed. Super U nearby, along with a bakery, market, and beach—in short, it was great! Thanks to the municipality! Maximum stay: 72 hours.
Many thanks to Grand Village for this affordable area just steps from the town center and beach. The 72-hour maximum is a good idea because it prevents people from occupying spaces indefinitely and leaves room for everyone. Ninety-six hours would be even better to enjoy it fully. Many municipalities should follow this example. We will definitely return!! Thanks.
We only used the services: €3 for 100 liters of water. Clean place. Many thanks.
The site itself is good for the price, but there are not many services apart from the service station accessible from outside and the electricity. However, it is chaotic, with all kinds of gear spread everywhere, and we had a very noisy family next to us talking very late. It is really unfortunate that some people do not think of others or respect their peace and quiet.
Very nice, very shady spot for motorhomes. Reasonable price: €14 per day for two people, including electricity and tourist tax. Beach 1 km away and shops nearby. I will come back... Bravo to the municipality; many others could follow this example.
Excellent service and waste-disposal station in front of the motorhome pitch.
Well-located parking area for motorhomes, with overnight stays possible for €13 plus a tourist tax of €0.66 per person, minimum two people. It is a shame that the electrical outlets are sometimes very, even excessively, far from some pitches. Apparently they do not like people setting up awnings, tables, and chairs... A sign at the entrance says this is not a campsite.
Not only is there traffic through the area during the day, but now electric bicycles are all the rage—though they look more like mopeds than bicycles. Many riders cross the area. Watch out for children. This area is far inferior to the ones at Saint-Denis and the château. In fact, it is just a parking lot converted into a motorhome area.
Motorhome area costing €14 just for electricity. An additional €4 is charged if you want to empty the toilet and refill with water, which is expensive just for electricity. The area is close to the town center and shops and is shaded, making it very good in the off-season. Beware of disturbances and noise; there is a very lively campsite next door in summer.
The area is admittedly not very expensive, but you have to pay €3 for 100 liters of water—that is €30 per cubic meter. If you simply want to rinse your cassette after emptying it, you have to pay €3. Increase the parking price by €1 and include the services; everyone would benefit.
Very pleasant and quiet area. As others have already mentioned, it is a shame that the services are outside and, above all, not included in the price. One comment: since the area is not enclosed, I noticed that many outsiders walk through it with their dogs and do not pick up after them. Otherwise, it is perfect...
Quiet and shaded. Not too far from the sea on foot. €14.50 just for electricity is too expensive! No water for cleaning the cassette. Toilets are closed, and bins for non-food waste cost extra! €3 more for a water refill.
Very nice motorhome area with electrical hookup included, not just a parking lot as some people claim. Shops nearby, including a supermarket and restaurants. It is a shame that water and bins cost extra. For lovers of beautiful sights, visit the chapel just a few steps from the area. Very quiet in this season. Thanks to the municipality.
Music until 3 a.m. and a football game. Only one outlet out of three works... Not for me.
Pleasant area and lightly frequented in this season; the proximity of shops and the beach is much appreciated. It is a shame that inconsiderate people took a camping chair we had left during an outing to reserve our spot... Yes, there are dishonest motorhome users everywhere, unfortunately ^^
