Been here?
This is a spacious, peaceful campsite beside a river and lake, with flat pitches, electricity and water available. Online booking costs 320 NOK plus a 19,20 NOK service fee, with electricity costing 60 NOK extra. A large playground and free canoes are available, and the Via Ferrata can be reached from the site. The showers have only very cold water, and the dump station is difficult to use.

We spent two quiet nights here, and there were very few people. The setting is beautiful, with a large playground, and canoes are available free of charge. The downside is that the showers only have freezing-cold water, and the dump station is not very easy to use.
This place is not closed! There is a large “for sale” sign at the entrance. When we arrived, reception was unattended, but the name and phone number are posted. You can also book and pay online: 320 NOK plus a 19.20 NOK service fee, with electricity an additional 60 NOK. Four other campers were there with us. Beautifully located on the Otra River, with views of the surrounding mountains.
This camping is closed. However it is for sale. Why not buy it in this lovely surroundings?
Lovely location by the lake and between the mountains. Peaceful and quiet place. Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are modest but functional. Flat places and enough space. Small village in the neighbourhood.
The price is 320 NOK plus 60 NOK for electricity. It seems prices are increasing this July. We arrived in Norway at the end of May. We did not use the sanitary facilities or the services offered by the municipality of Valle. Everything looks run-down here, but the pitches are very spacious and gravel-covered. That’s great!
We initially wanted to drive there. On arrival, there was some old shed being demolished on both sides. It didn’t look very appealing. We then briefly looked into the washing and shower room and drove on. It looks quite run-down. The site itself is beautifully located by the river.
Very nice place by the river. Very friendly owner. Wonderful nature, very quiet and far enough from the road.
we camped here late September, lovely location beside the water and we were early enough to get a fire pit... great playground, very nice owner. the kitchen is in a container but is nice and has everything we needed; toilets and showers not great, and not that clean, so one star less.
Very beautifully located campsite by the river, especially great for children: rabbits, horses, peacocks, piglets, and a large playground. Canoes available to rent; owner very friendly. 275 NOK per night for a motorhome without electricity, excellent sanitary facilities, and a small communal container with cooking and washing-up facilities. A place where you would happily stay longer than one night.
Very friendly owner. Clean toilet, clean shower, 3 minutes for 10 NOK. The pitch costs 275 NOK, electricity is available everywhere for 50 NOK. The site is directly between the mountains beside a quiet river. Cards and cash accepted at reception right by the entrance. Fishing allowed. Playground available. Highly recommendable. Wi-Fi available.
As others have described: large site, great view, sanitary facilities in poor condition, very friendly owner. Paying online via Campio costs 410 NOK including electricity; on site it costs 325 NOK.
Super campsite, we didnt need electric so found a lovey quiet spot away at the top, looking onto the river. Lovely and quiet! Lovely friendly staff on arrival
Everything you need is available: kitchen, Wi-Fi, washing machine/dryer, shower for an extra fee, and toilet. Nice playground. Small climbing forest for children, and kayak rental is also possible. Friendly management. The site is still being developed and looks a little like a construction site, but nothing that bothered us. The sanitary facilities are somewhat basic. The location is spectacularly beautiful! Dogs are welcome too.
On the way in, you drive through what looks like a small construction site, but then you reach the camper pitches. They are beautifully and peacefully located by the water, with electricity posts and water connections everywhere. There is also a small playground. The kitchen is fine, in a container. However, the sanitary facilities could be cleaner and better maintained; for example, the toilet bowl is missing the lid of the flush tank.
The address is Setesdalvegen 3174. The motorhome area is at the end of the asphalt road, along the river, with flat and stable pitches. A great, peaceful place.
Great campsite, lots of space and beautiful views. Toilets were clean but didn't use other facilities. Obviously a working farm/plant hire at entrance but don't let that put you off. Friendly accommodating staff and would definitely stay again.
Actually a beautifully located site. Unfortunately, there is a lot of disorder in the entrance area and elsewhere. Too much looks like a construction site. The sanitary facilities are also poorly maintained. The yellowed shower curtains criticized on Google with a photo three years ago are still there today; toilet paper is missing, etc. Fine for one night, but otherwise not recommended.
Very friendly operators. The access is a little off-putting because of the material storage, but behind it is a beautiful pitch. Slightly sloping, but not a problem. Electricity posts are everywhere, even with water connections. The sanitary buildings are quite far away. During our stay they were neither well maintained nor clean. Washing machine and dryer available. Showers cost 10 NOK for 3 minutes. Pitch without electricity: 275 NOK.
A very nice pitch right by the water, with enough space for everyone. We paid 350 NOK, including electricity. There is a small, very clean sanitary area, a kitchen, fresh water at every electricity post, and a toilet disposal point. There is also a nice playground. We give it 5 stars because we couldn’t find anyone responsible for the continuous rain :-)
Excellent site, very quiet, lots of privacy. Fresh wild blueberries available. Fully equipped kitchen. Very basic bathroom, but fit for purpose. Shower operated with 10-NOK coins; 20-NOK coins get stuck. The pitches at the back are longer and in the sun. Fire pit and wood free to use. Water tap at the electricity post. We checked out late on departure day and wanted to pay extra, but the generous host declined.
