4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
This wild bivouac is on a ridge above Sospel, with a clear panorama of the town and valley and flat space for 2 or 3 vans or several tents. Access follows a small road and good track, ending with a steep concrete ramp and a very steep but short gravel section; motorhomes cannot access it. The area is exceptionally quiet, shaded spaces are available, and it is a starting point for walks, although paragliding activity can bring occasional movement.

Ideal spot: easy access, large shaded areas, panorama, starting point for walks, absolute peace and quiet. Nothing is missing. We spent the afternoon and night here. Top-notch!Translating
We spent two very peaceful nights at the end of September. We were alone apart from the hang-gliding school, which made a few trips but was not bothersome. FIRES: fires are forbidden, but there are fire pits containing rubbish such as broken bottles and bottle caps. We collected the rubbish; please leave this place clean. FINES: access to the summit is NOT permitted!Translating
An extraordinary view. Very quiet and far from everything. A few walkers and three elderly men launching their paragliders early in the morning. A little piece of paradise.Translating
I spent a very good night here. The road is certainly difficult for a motorhome, but the place is quiet, with no noise, and we felt alone in the world with a beautiful view. I felt safe and had no problems.Translating
We were fined by the National Forestry Office ranger.Translating
Beautiful view! The way up is not easy for wide vehicles because of the narrow roads, but it is worth all the effort. We stayed one night and enjoyed the peace in our rooftop tent. Two other campers were there with us. Highly recommended.Translating
Lovely quiet, almost flat pitch. A peaceful night above Sospel. We were alone in the world at the end of July. Access in an L1H1 van was no problem, and there were no restrictions.Translating
A very beautiful place with plenty of space from the lower area. Be careful: it is forbidden to go all the way to the top, onto the final flat section. Also bear in mind that in good weather there is a lot of coming and going for paragliding launches, as this is the free-flight area, so leave room.Translating
Lovely as always. Clean and well maintained.Translating
Great place. Quiet and clean. We stayed for two nights, with no one else there. I recommend it!Translating
