Quiet parking, birdwatching trails

Beautiful place to spend the night. Very peaceful with a beautiful view over the meadows.

Great site. We stayed peacefully. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed. However, it is a beautiful place with excellent hiking trails and opportunities to watch birds.

Nice site with fresh-water toilets and beautiful surroundings. We had a very calm and quiet night. There were about 10 other motorhomes/campervans on site, but it did not feel crowded. Naturum was closed when we were there, but there are well-marked trails for walking/running and several birdwatching towers.

Beautiful and spacious site. Everything you need is available (toilet, fire pit, tables and benches, etc.). The 100 SEK can be paid via Swish or bank transfer (we therefore had to transfer the money). Nice for walks.

A fantastic place for bird lovers. Please be considerate; do not come here only for the free overnight stay, as that disturbs nature enthusiasts. The 100 kronor is a voluntary contribution. If you are an international visitor, buy something in the shop, for example. That also supports nature conservation! We stayed here with a caravan. No problem at all! Nice walking trails, viewing towers and an interesting visitor center.

A superb, spacious motorhome stop. Six other motorhomes were staying with us. Everything was quiet and the toilet was very clean. In the evening, we enjoyed a wonderful sunset from the nearby birdwatching tower. We were happy to pay the 100 SEK contribution.

Great motorhome stop for spending a day in the nature reserve or as a stopover. Quiet at night, and the nearby toilets were perfectly fine. We were there in early June; by evening, the site was already relatively full.

Very nice motorhome stop at the Naturum Tåkern bird sanctuary. There were 14 motorhomes/cars, but because of the size they were well spread out. In the evening, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the reserve and admired the birds and orchids. We were very happy to transfer the requested €10 donation to Naturum.

Excellent and free, in the middle of nature. A small tip: come prepared; there is no dumping or filling station, although there are toilets that I did not visit.

Fantastic area where you can park for 24 hours. Dedicated motorhome area which is large enough for bigger motorhomes. The nature reserve is very well done with a great 4km boardwalk. All free. Very peaceful night watching deer and the various birds.

Wonderful experience on the trails around Tåkern. A breathtaking world of birds and insects. Thank you for providing a motorhome stop here and giving us the opportunity to observe the animals extensively. There was also an exciting nature playground for children. Barbecue area and toilets available. Please keep the site clean!

You can’t avoid going to sleep and waking with the geese. :) Calm place, many visitors and many motorhomes in the parking area. Grill places available with firewood provided on site.

We were there with a large motorhome and a large dog. We arrived early and got a nice spot. Visiting the Naturum and walking through the wonderful nature there was worthwhile. In the evening, the site was fully occupied.

Quiet site by a beautiful bird sanctuary. Lots of space, although there were also quite a few campers.

Small sheltered pitches and a large parking field with views over a grain field. Clean toilet facilities. Waste container. Barbecue area with wood. Information center open until 5 p.m. Birdwatching hide. Five-kilometer walk through the reed area. In mid-August there were swans, geese and herons. Cranes in the grain field.

Beautiful parking spaces in small clusters or in an open area beside the lovely nature reserve with visitor center. Plenty to learn there, and outside the gulls were busy with their young while the orchids were blooming beautifully. Nice for walking. There are two toilets and a gravel surface. Excellent.

Lovely spot to park overnight – clean WC, plenty of parking (20+ spaces), and perfect for bird enthusiasts. Right at the entrance to the national park. BBQ lovers: bring your food, as grills and wood are provided! Peaceful nature all around, and just a short 280 m walk to the outpost watchtower
