Permit required one month in advance and limited to three motorhomes or vans. The area is spacious, leaving room for each vehicle. However, it is not level. The nearby toilets were dirty when we were there. Access to the loch is just below the parking area and the beach is beautiful. Nice walks nearby. Very quiet night.

Impossible to get a permit on the website, so I phoned the helpline. They told me that they are fully booked at every one of their sites for weeks on end, but the website doesn't tell you that. This is absolutely useless as an aire.

Lovely spot to stop day or night. Very quiet at night, and lovely walk along the lake by day. As always with places this time of year by water, be prepared for the midges. But can’t blame the place for that. Also, depending which spot you get, you might need levelling blocks, but easily done.

For the price and for one night, it was great. The toilets were okay.

Stayed one night. Checked and rechecked whether we needed a permit, but the website says no permit is required from 1 October 2025 to 28 February 2026. A beautiful stopover with snow-covered mountains around us. We did not check whether the facilities were open, as we did not need them. Recommended.

We stopped here to enjoy breakfast by the lake. Excellent place, with plenty of parking for cars, campers and vans.

We stayed for three nights and it's a great spot - no road noise, toilets (open 7-7) and access to the lake for a swim! We stayed in October so a permit was not needed. There were always about 5/6 other campers there and some campers but it never felt too crowded.

Small spaces; the motorhome parking was quite full when we arrived, but it was fine for the night. Several of us had not booked despite trying on the website. Apparently it worked out. Great for one night with children aged four and three.

Great for lunch. The small stream flowing into the lake is fun for children, and there is a small beach. Plenty of space for tents too.

The viewpoint is very beautiful. The toilets are clean. The water from the local spring is brownish and is not drinking water.

Loud techno music right at the site until late at night; sleeping was impossible. We did not expect that in a national park.

The site itself is quite nice, but obtaining a permit is a complete disaster. On the booking page, you have to disclose an absurd amount of personal information. When they also wanted my grandmother's maiden name, I pulled the plug. Sorry, just charge the £7 through PayPal! I wanted to pay, but not like this!

Great park-up. Sadly, cars occupied most of the motorhome spaces, so we moved on.

Don't bother - impossible to get a permit from the National Trust website. People in cars were parked in the reserved area for camping. Asked them politely to move to the car parking area as there were quite a lot of free spots, and they didn't care.

Good location. toilets were clean and drinking water. Rubbish bins available. In the park up sign up for £7. lovely walk by Loch Lomond. only gave 4 star as no chemical waste but can't have everything.

Spent half a day here, very quiet and super dark at night this time of year. No permit required until 1 March. In the day, the Loch is beautiful and perfect for walking the dogs. The 3 designated motorhome spaces are in the turning circle at the bottom and they are mostly level.

It was okay, but there were not many level parking spaces. We also found it full of younger teenagers camping and drinking.

A beautiful place for one night. We paid £4.10. Only three spaces in the turning circle can be booked for campers. The rest are for tents and their accompanying cars. The park rangers were very friendly. Barbecuing on the site or at the beach is allowed.

Nice location. You can walk to the lake and there are picnic benches. The spaces are quite sloped and unsuitable for longer vehicles. We left again.

Suitable for motorhomes up to 7 m; caravans are prohibited. Great tent fields with a view of Loch Lomond, a one-minute walk from the parking area. Excellent starting point for hikes and bike rides.

Waste of time stopping, never able to get a permit. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs need to get organised.

Beautiful place slightly away from the road. You pay £5 per night here. There are decent toilets and rubbish bins. The best part is the beaches below, with wonderful views and great walking. Recommended!

Not bad at all. Nice view and a lovely walk. Worth seeing. You can spend some time here without paying; the fee is only required for camping.

I stayed here for one night in a motorhome. The toilet was clean and washed every day, and there was a tap for non-potable water. Paid parking, £4.20. Quiet place with a magnificent view. Camping is possible just opposite the loch.

Superb view! A little uneven, but nothing serious. The toilets are very convenient.

Overnight spots are not very flat. Still a good place to sleep in the middle of the national park. Toilets are clean. Only 4£. Beach access, and walks around the loch. Couldn’t catch a fish :(.

Fantastic car park for an overnight stay in a motorhome. You need a permit costing £4.20 per night, booked online. The toilets are cleaned daily and open from 7 am to 7 pm. Lovely views and walks along the loch. Definitely coming back. Leave nothing behind.
