214 Ungererstraße, 80805, München
Been here?
This practical daytime parking area is beside the U6 subway station, providing easy access to Munich city centre and Marienplatz. Parking costs 2€ for 24 hours, and the area is relatively flat with space for larger motorhomes. The toilets are currently unusable, and the nearby motorway creates low, constant noise. Motorhome parking is tolerated for city visits, but parking between 3 and 4 a.m. is prohibited with a 40€ fine.

Perfect for exploring Monaco by bike or public transport. Near the parking meter there is a message saying roughly: “Dear motorhome travelers, parking is allowed only to visit the city. This is not a campsite: leaving waste and camping behavior are prohibited. Respect the rules, or we will be forced to ban parking altogether.”
Parking for only two euros. There were many motorhomes. The toilet was unusable. I didn’t stay overnight. If you have no business in the city, there is also a very nice overnight stop farther on in Ampfing. I think the system does not accept foreign credit cards. The EasyPark app works. I paid with coins.
Fantastic parking for motorhomes - we’re 7.4m and could easily find a spot with enough grass behind for the overhang. Plenty of space midweek in June. Several other campers and felt safe. Metro right next to the car park to get into the city centre or walk through the English garden. Didn’t stay overnight, we moved on to a quiet spot further north out of the city and returned the next day.
Good place to stop and see the city by bicycle or public transport. We did not stay overnight.
We have stayed here several times. A woman from the park-and-ride service has just informed us that the city does not allow it. Parking is permitted, but in future there will be a fine for staying overnight.
This already applies now, in May 2026, with the closure period between 3 and 4 a.m. What a shame.
Today, a very nice park-and-ride officer pointed out to us that from June 1, 2026, parking motorhomes between 3 and 4 a.m. will be prohibited. The signs are already in place. Fine: €40. According to the officer, the reason is the waste left behind by irresponsible motorhome travelers, so the city is now consistently imposing a parking ban. So sad, but understandable.
Very good location for visiting Munich by bicycle for €2 per day. There was a van with broken windows, but I think it had been there for a long time. We did not feel unsafe, as there are many campers.
Motorhomes are tolerated—thanks to the city! Great for a trip to Munich. Please be fair with larger vehicles and buy two parking tickets so we can all continue using this place for a long time. Note: the maximum parking duration is 24 hours; anyone ignoring this risks a ticket!
Very convenient parking for visiting the city, right in front of the metro that takes you to the city center. Flat, inexpensive and quiet.
Very inexpensive paid parking (€2 for 24 hours) outside the metro station. Excellent place for reaching central Munich, 12 minutes by public transport; otherwise inaccessible to vehicles below Euro 4. You can hear the nearby highway, but the noise is low and constant, so you get used to it. There are chemical toilets, which we did not use. Several motorhomes were present. Camping is prohibited.
Public parking where you pay €2 per space occupied. If your motorhome is so large that it occupies two spaces, you pay €2 twice; otherwise you receive a friendly request to pay the difference. The subway station for reaching the city center is right there. A bakery is within walking distance, as are Aldi and Edeka. We stayed two nights. Good value for money despite heavy traffic noise.
Next to the station for catching the train, with several motorhomes parked there.
We spent the weekend here during the marathon and are very grateful to the city for this excellent and inexpensive option! Please take your rubbish with you and make sure campers can continue staying here in the future. Even if there is already rubbish by the portable toilet, do not add yours to it!
Absolutely perfect parking! So happy that Munich gives us the opportunity to stay/sleep here! Just 2 minutes to the U6 metro, perfect for visiting Munich! We stayed/parked here during Oktoberfest – so quiet at night! €2 per parking space, but there are plenty of spots where the overhang can extend over the grass. Please respect that this is a parking lot so that we can keep these places available.
Very pleasant parking area for visiting Munich. Attention! If you need 2 spaces (and I was already over the line at 5.50 m), simply take 2 tickets, otherwise you’ll get a parking fine.
Ideally located parking for visiting Munich. Metro 2 minutes away, taking you to the heart of Munich in 15 minutes. Noisy even at night, but that’s city life...
Excellent parking. Only €2 for 24 hours if you use one space, €4 if you occupy two spaces, very close to the U6 metro. Quiet. To avoid passing through the green environmental zone without a green sticker, it is advisable to arrive from the north. Do not camp, and respect the place without littering, as it is a perfect and inexpensive resource for anyone wanting to visit Munich.
Great parking for visiting Munich! We stayed two days without spending the night. Full on match evenings. €2 for parking, and you can buy public transport tickets at the machine in the metro station.
Perfect for visiting central Munich. To prevent this place from being closed to motorhomes, please park within the lines, do not leave rubbish, and do not empty wastewater into the parking drains. There are toilets, but help, help!
Regulated paid parking, very inexpensive (€2 per space for 24 hours). If you occupy two spaces, you must pay for both. Quite noisy at night due to the busy main road and inconsiderate nighttime visitors. Very practical for visiting the city.
Excellent place! It is a simple parking area, but with a few trees. Quiet day and night. The U6 station is right in the parking area. We also cycled around; within a maximum of 20 minutes you can reach many places (the center, Olympic Park, the Deutsches Museum, the English Garden), all via fantastic cycle paths! If you occupy two spaces, pay for two tickets; it is still only €4! No rubbish bins.
A great place to explore Munich. The metro station is right in the parking area, and you can also cycle there using the cycle path. You do not need a green sticker because you do not enter the city very far. We spent two very peaceful nights here for €4. It is just a basic parking area with no facilities, but it says motorhomes are accepted. We all need to look after it so it stays that way.
Perfect parking for visiting Munich. 24 hours for €2; if you occupy two spaces, you have to pay for two tickets, so €4. The metro station is right next to it and takes you to Munich in 15 minutes.
Very good for visiting Munich and spending a couple of nights. Technically you can only stay 24 hours, but the lady was understanding. €2 for 24 hours, an amazing deal for Munich. Metro next door, and you can reach the center in no time by bike. If you take two parking spaces, get two tickets, otherwise you’ll get a fine.
Close to the center and quiet. Perfect for two nights.
