Church parking, nighttime noise

Not recommended. Unsafe area because many young people gather here at night and are very noisy, until 3 a.m. We were jolted awake by a flashy car. The church bells are silent between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. We had a bad and unsafe experience and will not return. There were still a few campers parked there.

Free place by a church. Thank you for this! We only had lunch there, but you could easily sleep here. It is popular, but there was space. Thanks again!

Nice parking area with a paved surface. About a kilometre's walk to Hasselt city centre. Quiet place. The bells ring at 8:00 a.m.! Recommended.

Free camper place at a church. We stayed there with several others; there are multiple spaces. Quiet place. Apart from the church bells, it was very quiet and we had a peaceful night. Just over a kilometre from Hasselt city centre.

No facilities, but a perfect place for one night. Ideal for visiting Hasselt, within walking distance—about half an hour. No alarm clock needed; the bells will wake you up.

We had two peaceful nights. The church bells ring from 8 a.m. to about 9 p.m., so it is not too bad. In one part of the parking area there is a sign saying “car parking,” but it is nevertheless full of campers. It is a little unclear what is allowed. I have never seen this before: it looks like a motorhome storage lot for owners from the surrounding area. There are 10 motorhomes here with nobody in or around them.

Easy-to-access parking, about a 20-minute walk from the city centre. Indeed, many motorhomes are parked here.

Fairly quiet place, but unfortunately there are more and more long-term campers taking up space—I have been here before—for people like me who want to visit Hasselt. The city should limit parking to 48 hours to prevent this phenomenon. No services.

Probably the best camper spot close to Hasselt. Well established trees for shade. concrete turf pavers are down so a fairly solid base. enclosed dog park, and kids playground are across the road. last bells 9pm. #4 bus takes you to the city . no services at all. if it had that, it'd be perfect. but a free night camping this close to the city I'd not complain

Good for one night, though the church bells are unfortunate. No facilities, not even a rubbish bin. It is quite a walk to the centre, though there is a bus stop nearby.

We parked here to visit Hasselt on foot and had a decent night. A few cars passed during the night. I think some motorhomes stay here long-term, but there is enough space for others.
