148 Allée du Docteur Rassat, 84100, Orange
Been here?
Free parking beside large public park with shade and 24-hour toilet and water access. Access road sometimes narrow; note current closure for vehicles over 2m high (until 30 June). Very noisy Thursday through Saturday evenings (concerts and guinguette restaurant until 2 a.m.) and attracts youth gatherings. Quiet at night outside event days and best in shoulder season. Crowded weekends.

It seems to have been a good place in the past. Now it is no longer an option, at least on a Friday. It is full of cars and quite noisy.Translating
Well located and shaded, but with a refreshment area right next to it. We did not stay because there was an event from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. There are also concerts and events from Thursday to Saturday evenings, and the parking area was very full.Translating
The road is closed again following a landslide.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet place, with a few dog walkers and some athletes. After the storm drove us away from the car park at the Arc de Triomphe, we spent a quieter night here. The access is indeed somewhat challenging, and I would not recommend it with a larger vehicle because there is sometimes oncoming traffic. It was still manageable with our 6-metre panel van.Translating
Very quiet at night and several spaces available. Convenient for one night in Orange. Warning: the road to Mont des Princes d'Orange is currently closed, reportedly until 30 June according to Google Maps, so the approach requires a detour that may be problematic for motorhomes more than 2 metres wide.Translating
Quiet parking area in the countryside, not far from the ancient theatre. Twenty minutes on foot through the park.Translating
I spent a quiet night there on 18 October 2025. Probably because of the late season and windy weather, there were very few locals compared with what other reports mention. The parking area is right beside a beautiful park on top of the hill, with a good view of the city.Translating
We arrived around 8 p.m. on Sunday evening. The parking area was fairly full and there was quite a lot of car traffic. It also seemed to be a meeting place for young people. We witnessed a heated argument. We did not have a good feeling about spending the night here, so we left again.Translating
Stopped for a lunch break. Shaded. The parking area is large, with picnic tables, children's games a little farther away in the park, and a viewpoint over Orange. Quiet in the off-season.Translating
We stayed for 24 hours on the large field directly in front of the parking area. Fine place, with a very beautiful park next to it.Translating
The parking area is beautifully situated under trees. You drive up to the park overlooking Orange through narrow streets. The park is open around the clock, and there is access to a toilet and water. It is busy in the park, but quiet at night.Translating
Noisy parking area all day. Refreshment bar next door every evening until 2 a.m. Spot to avoid.Translating
Stopped only for a picnic break. The parking area is large, with picnic tables, children's games a little farther away in the park, and a beautiful view over Orange.Translating
Very isolated place. Flickering streetlamp, toilet quite far from the parking area, young people coming to do skids with their cars, drink and play very bad music. Very bad experience.Translating
Safe place to park while visiting the old town. I did not sleep here because I wanted to go to another city, but it looks very quiet. If you arrive before midnight, you can easily find a space; otherwise, you have to wait 10–20 minutes for one to become free.Translating
Awesome spot on the top of a little mountain. Road up was a little tricky but manageable. Great sunsets and fresh water. Very simple toilet some meters away. Sweet village. Great experience!
It seems to be a wonderful place, but after I saw a man in a baseball cap lurking behind a wall for quite some time, I left and reported it to the police as a precaution. I feel sorry for the families who did not notice it in time.Translating
No facilities, but we do not need any. Fine place, reached via a very narrow and steep road. You are next to a park with toilets and exercise equipment. Walk through the park downhill to the ancient theatre. Pleasant centre with good coffee and beautiful arcades. A few cars with music in the evening, then quiet. Lots of people exercising early in the morning with music. Nice place.Translating
Very good. Quiet at night. Thanks to the municipality for tolerating motorhomes. The access is difficult, with narrow streets and a steep climb. Not recommended for large motorhomes.Translating
We spent a quiet night here while passing through. The parking area fills up quickly in the morning.Translating
