Paid riverside aire, no showers

Lovely campsite well located. it was very quiet with gorgeous river walk nearby. we went for a few pints in Maher's. Shop 5 mins walk. No toilet / shower facilities but site clean. 10eur to stay and worth it. Locals were friendly, and big thank you to the lovely man who takes care of the cheeky swans that make a mess on the slipway.

Very comfortable and scenic. Handy for village.

If you are in the area, we recommend this beautiful spot for the night. You can swim by following the little path used by all the locals. Don’t forget to put your contribution in the envelope so this place can continue to exist.

What a peaceful wee spot this is. Quietest night of our trip. Lots of room, clean and tidy. Bins and waste water available. What a lovely man who took our phone call. We will definitely be back. Eamon and Michelle

a very pleasant spot, water is non potable and waste water via a tank. For us the visit was spoilt by a group of fishermen who arrived in a car and had loud music playing over the car stereo. However they did quieten down when confronted. Otherwise a wonderful spot. It is not absolutely clear where black waste should be dumped, the colour code on the containers is not explained.

Lovely quiet aire. Listening to birds in early morning was fabulous. *Can fit approx 25 MH/campers comfortably. *Gray water disposal and bins available at entrance. Tap for water at bridge just past entrance. No hose available. It's a push tap. *Not totally level ground. Near lovely walks and village.

Quiet aire by the river Barrow only 10 euros per night, pay cash in an honesty box or scan a qr code for bank transfer. No instructions on site for black or grey water disposal so gave that a miss. There were a couple of rubbish skips but you had to pay extra according to size of bag - so gave that a miss also! Non potable water available from an IBC.

what a beautiful place right on the river barrow. The people in the village/bar are so friendly and hospitable.I would highly recommend this Aire.

We rang the phone no. shown on the photos but this was unnecessary. There are no pitches, just a mowed grassy area with a one way track around it. Park where you like. Easy short walk into the village. e had a fab evening at Maher's Bar, there was a chap with a guitar until about 7pm. The locals were friendly and welcoming, we even got chips and goujons with our Guiness!!

Beautifully maintained flat grassy secluded park up next to the river . Water and bins provided . Would definatly recomend. We had a lovely quiet night here . I hope it’s a success for the village and they add a loo
