We had a very peaceful stay, but be prepared for a chilly night in autumn! This place is about 1,230 m above sea level, and the temperature dropped for us from 18 degrees on the coast to 6 degrees at the site. A challenging drive with winding roads to reach the place, but Google Maps gets you there without problems. The roads are well maintained by the church at the top of the mountain. Beautiful place! We did not see any dogs.
We wanted to go there on a Saturday evening with our van. After managing the winding road with difficulty, we reached the place. Unfortunately, once we arrived, there were countless cars with music blasting. The place seems popular for rave parties. We had to turn back during the night.
Very good pitch. Quiet. There is a small view of the surrounding mountains. Three free-roaming shepherd dogs may be present, but they do not seem aggressive.
The place felt a little eerie. Upon arrival, we were surrounded by three large wild dogs. The road to the site leads through a forest. Not intended for motorhomes. It is also inconvenient if you want to visit the Amalfi Coast and have dinner there. Driving back in the dark is not recommended, as the roads are extremely narrow and unlit. There is also absolutely no mobile phone signal. We drove on.
Great spot! Incredible view! Complete tranquility guaranteed!
Since we lost GPS at a certain altitude, we could not tell where to go about 1.5 km before the destination. We preferred to turn around. The road is quite challenging and narrow; we would not recommend it for a motorhome or Sprinter. However, the view on the way up is very beautiful.
Very quiet, isolated and very shaded in the morning, perfect for sleeping cool. We spent three excellent nights here to visit the coast and Capri. It is a one-hour walk downhill to reach the sea.
A quiet place with a beautiful view and cool temperatures at night in summer. We slept here for two nights and went on a short hike the second morning; it was very nice. However, it is isolated and not necessarily convenient for visiting the main tourist attractions. The place was cleaner when we left than when we arrived, although there was not much litter. Please help keep it that way!
We were there for one night. It was wonderfully beautiful, very quiet, with a starry sky. Two dogs came to visit us, and I gave them water. In the morning, a herd of goats walked up the mountain. Not a person in sight, and wonderfully peaceful.
Beautiful, quiet and clean place where you feel safe. In the evening, a horse came to visit us while we were cooking :) Unfortunately, there is no direct view from the mountain because the trees have grown over it. The drive up takes a while and includes many very narrow sections. We would not necessarily recommend it for large motorhomes. But if you like standing somewhere peacefully for a while, this is the right place!
