Been here?
A paid parking area in nature beside the Turda Gorge, used as a starting point for hiking and climbing. The latest reported overnight price is 50 Lei. Nearby food stands and restaurants serve visitors, while two guard dogs may bark when they detect movement at night. The area is generally suitable for an overnight stop, but the access road is steep.

We have just spent a quiet night here. When it gets dark, the two guard dogs keep watch and bark whenever something moves in the motorhome. That was a little annoying. Otherwise, a good spot for hiking through the gorge. 50 lei per night. The tourist food at the stalls is mediocre at best. Note: The long 7.5 km hike is challenging, especially when wet.
We drove to the end of the road to a carpark which is significantly cheaper at 20 Ron (not the 100 the others wanted). The guy at the end is very grumpy but absolutely fine. The only warning I would give is if you've got a heavy or old motorhome like ours it might not thank you for the steep hill coming back out. We did most of it in 1st and if we had to stop we wouldn't have started again.
Large car park for visitors to the gorge, where a moderate fee must be paid. As we arrived before 5 p.m., we paid €10 for the night. In the late afternoon, we also ate at the snack bar. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. For us, they had the best langos on our journey.
Quiet night, friendly dogs, good starting point for the hike. Everything was closed; nobody asked us for anything.
Really nice spot, beautiful walk, and tasty snacks and drinks right outside. The second parking area was only 15 per parking session; we stayed two nights. At the back of the parking area it is reasonably level and shaded in the afternoon. A little noise on weekend evenings, but manageable.
Overnight parking costs 50 lei, regardless of how long you park, but it is really expensive because the next morning they want another 50 lei. Even the road to the river to reach other places is controlled and costs money. All parking areas in this vicinity charge fees. Simply overpriced. The campsite next door costs 30 lei per day per person; I can recommend that instead.
50 lei, or RON, is quite expensive for a simple car park. We were there for only 2.5 hours and wanted to hike through the gorge. Slippery stones and footbridges with rotten planks made us turn back, although we are not timid. Motorhome overnight stays are only allowed at a site next door. I did not even ask the price.
50 lei per day, not 30! And if you arrive at 6 p.m. and leave the next day at 9:30 a.m., you pay for two days. A simple car park, with rubbish bins and a 3-lei toilet. Outrageous!
Not a bad place to park for the walk. In my opinion, the dogs are harmless; there are just many of them.
Paid parking. Overnight stays until 10 a.m. are possible.
Perfect for a quiet night. Dogs are very affectionate with people, but be careful if you are walking your own dog.
Great place to park to hike the gorge. Flat level parking on gravel/dust. plenty of food cabins open too during the day. litter bins available. A few stray dogs around. We didn't stay the night but don't foresee any problems.
