22010, Peglio
Been here?
A level car park at the end of the road to Bodone, with magnificent views over Lake Como and the Valtellina. It has a small water fountain and tables, and is a starting point for hikes to Monte la Motta and Monte Duría. Access now requires paying a ticket at Peglio municipality; the winding road has recently been almost completely resurfaced.

Absolutely stunning view, fresh water and a perfect starting point for an adventurous hike. We were also surprised by hundreds of fireflies—absolutely magical ✨
Fantastic view! A must if you are in the area. Easy to reach.
Access is impossible with a Challenger Mageo 368. We got stuck on a hairpin bend and needed 30 minutes to get out. What a shame.
Road closed, driving prohibited.
Incredible place with a magnificent view over the lake and the towns below. Excellent small water access point. WARNING: I strongly advise against bringing a motorhome; it is marked as difficult to access, but it is even more difficult than I expected. Be very careful.
I have just spent two nights and two days hiking here. The place is magnificent. However, the very difficult access should discourage you from driving up simply for the view. It is a parking area for hikers and mushroom pickers. There are houses around it that are occupied year-round, and many regular local visitors. Go in the off-season and during the week, and above all leave everything clean.
Warning: Overnight stays at this place are not tolerated. An hour after our arrival, we were told that spending the night was not allowed and had to leave. The 30-minute drive there over terrible roads was not worth it.
We stayed there for one night and were asked by the police to leave the following morning.
