201 Hillesøyvegen, 9110, Sommarøy
Been here?
A free gravel parking space with a beautiful view, drinking-water access and room for 1 motorhome, or 2 small vehicles. It is beside a lived-in house and near a campsite, café, shop and beach; paid dumping, toilets and showers are available at the campsite. The access is steep and may be difficult in winter, while bright water-house lights and occasional treatment-plant smells can be noticeable.

Good free place, but only room for one vehicle.
We did not find this suitable for an overnight stay, as it is right next to an occupied house.
Nice place, flat and easy to park. Beautiful view. Close to a campsite where you can empty tanks and use the toilet and shower for a fee. Space for one motorhome, or possibly two small cars. Close to a café and shop, and otherwise everything Sommarøy has to offer! WARNING: there may be a smell from the treatment plant depending on the wind direction.
Actually a good, free place to spend the night. However, the lights at the water facility stay on all night and both shine very brightly. In winter, beware: if there is snow or black ice overnight, driving back down is difficult.
The place may be open all year round, but unfortunately it is not cleared in winter. Since there is also quite a steep incline, it is only possible with a 4x4.
Free parking with beautiful view.
During the day, the water was a stunningly turquoise. In the evening, we got to enjoy an unbelievably beautiful sunset! The nearby campsite and road didn’t bother us. There’s a waste shelter nearby, but the wind must have been in the right direction because we didn’t notice any smell.
Parking for only two motorhomes. No problems, no restrictions and no unpleasant smells. Just opposite the beach.
The view looks directly onto the campsite below. I find that cheeky. Besides, it is really not a nice place. In the end, we drove onto the campsite. For the sake of local residents and businesses, I would also advise against stopping here.
