La Tour, 43160, Malvières
Been here?
A lakeside parking area among fir trees at the end of an access path, offering swimming in a supervised zone during summer. A guinguette on site provides seasonal amenities and pedalos or paddle rentals. Quiet in shoulder seasons, the spot becomes crowded during school holidays and can attract rowdy visitors. There is no fresh water available. Walking around the lake is possible.

Quiet when I arrived. In the evening, a car with four young people came to drink a pack of beer and chat until late. The next morning at 6 a.m., a large Mercedes van warmed up its diesel for fifteen minutes before leaving. Then motocross bikes drove around even though there was a fire warning. Dogs came up to the motorhome door; my dog chased them away, so the owner photographed my motorhome.
Very pleasant place by the lake, quiet night, with the possibility of walking around the lake.
Magnificent—the autumn colors make it especially wonderful!
No water, barely even a stream.
Nice spot, but probably best out of season, or in late June/early September outside school holidays. Inaccessible on August 22, 2023, because too many badly parked vehicles blocked the entrance. We parked a little farther away and just went swimming one afternoon.
Lovely little peaceful place in late August.
Very pleasant spot, especially during this heatwave. Nice outdoor café on site.
Very nice shady place. Easy to access: don't hesitate to go all the way to the end of the road; the entrance is a little narrow, so you may hesitate. Lake with supervised swimming. The outdoor café is very nice. Pedal boats and paddleboards for rent. But it is not overrun with tourists.
Great! In the middle of the woods, in the shade, not too crowded and clean.
