Caminho da Casa do Guarda, 6230
Been here?
This is a quiet, unlit and mostly flat mountain spot at 910 m, with trees, hiking routes, BTT opportunities and wide valley views. A threaded fresh-water tap is 50 m away, with a grilling area and picnic tables nearby. Access involves narrow, steep village streets, and large vehicles should avoid the route.

I imagine it is indeed very good for smaller vehicles. I was misled by the comment about “taking the village on the right.” Further on, there was no way to get back to the spot, whereas I think my vehicle would have managed the road originally indicated by my GPS.
Amazing spot for an overnight stay, great view, we did not find the amenities in the evening but only in the morning, they are just on the other side of the roundabout !
On a Sunday in May, we were alone and had a very quiet night. Toilets, bins, shade and a magnificent view. Be careful: the access road passes through a village with narrow, steep streets; large vehicles should avoid it.
For motorhomes, go around the village using the road on the right. Once there, no problem; splendid elevated spot.
