Been here?
This parking area beside the Giessen Bridge is best suited to daytime stops, cycling and walks along the river. The river is suitable for a quick swim, but the nearby road can remain very noisy until late evening and become noisy again early in the morning. The adjacent cycle path is busy during the day, while the area is often deserted after 7pm.

A nice place, more suitable for daytime. The road next to it is very noisy until late in the evening, and the noise starts again early in the morning. I do not recommend spending the night here. The river next to it is great for a quick swim.
There are four camper vans here today. The site is great; you can cool off in the river and go on excellent bike rides. Please, all campers, leave the place clean so that a no-motorhomes sign does not appear here.
A lovely overnight spot, although this site will soon be closed to campers because some people are abusing it and staying here for days with truck-based motorhomes.
Because the shady spot is right by the cycle path, we stayed there during the day. It felt a little too lonely for us at night.
A lot of traffic on the adjacent cycle path and on the main road just above the bridge—not quiet at all and very noisy. We recommend this spot for setting off by bike during the day, but not for staying overnight. The cycle path leads to a very large and beautiful harbor and a small wild beach.
Several locals use this as a starting point for jogging, hiking, and dog walking, but after 7pm, the place is deserted. From about 4-6pm there were several cars parked, which is the peak period. The only overnight noise are the cars using the nearby major road, but this quieten downs considerably after about 9-10pm. A few cars park in the morning but not too busy & the people are mostly quiet.
Beautiful spot, well located. A little road noise can be heard, but it is limited. We were the only ones staying overnight from Saturday to Sunday.
Very good place; we were alone on Monday evening. Secluded among the trees. Some background road noise and a few people passing in the morning.
Perfectly fine for one night. You can hear the main road, and there are lots of mosquitoes. Small seating area at the edge. No problem even with an 8-meter vehicle.
Hiking/dog walker parking. Nice to sleep, but one of those arrive late, leave early places. Don't want to annoy locals. Road is only lightly audible, cause the parking space is below it.
Right next to a nature reserve and river, between apple and hop fields. Quiet parking lot at night; during the day, many cyclists ride along the river.
Hiking along the river, among strawberry, apple, and hop fields. The place is frequented by walkers during the day. You can hear the road, but it is not a problem. Highly recommended for the night.
It was pleasantly quiet. You can hardly hear the road, and the mobile phone reception was good too?
A lovely place for one night. The road is audible, but in my opinion it is not a problem in a Caddy. There are no overnight-parking-prohibited signs.
Next to a bridge below the main road, with lots of trucks there. Separated from the river by an embankment, with a heavily used cycle path passing by. No mobile reception. Not a particularly pleasant place to spend time.
