2 Fehrentzstraße, 69115, Heidelberg
Been here?
This free parking area beside the Neckar offers a very central location, with Heidelberg’s old town only a few minutes away on foot. It is usually full, so finding a space can be difficult, although recent reports indicate that construction works are no longer present. The spot is between roads, with daytime traffic noise and potentially quieter nights.

It is usually always full, but if you find a space it is an incredible place. I don't know whether the nearby road is noisy at night, but the location is good. You can reach the old town in a few minutes. We went and the construction work was already finished. We parked a few metres farther on from the park.
Nice car park directly on the Neckar! Unfortunately, it is usually full. But it is very central and free.
There are no parking spaces because of construction work; everything else requires payment at the parking meter. We drove on.
I had read the description and relied on reality matching it. I wanted to visit the Heidelberg Christmas market. When we arrived, we found only spaces for cars, with construction containers next to them. There are currently no spaces for campers here. We went to the industrial area near Bauhaus instead.
A great location if you can get in; it was full when we arrived, and half the spaces were occupied by construction vehicles.
Very good spot. We stayed overnight and explored Heidelberg's old town from here. Recommended, but due to current construction work only 7 spaces are available, and they were all occupied. We were lucky and got a space when one became free.
Only free for deliveries to Ethianum clinic or for construction.
If you're lucky enough to find a parking space, this is an excellent location, probably the only place downtown where you can park without paying. It is within walking distance, about 15 minutes, of the city centre and university area. I wouldn't stay overnight, though.
Teenagers partying until the early morning. Easy to drive to, but I only found a free space. Directly beside a busy road and bridge; I will avoid it now.
There is currently construction work here. Only 3 parking spaces are available. They were all full when I was there. The location is very good.
Sunny autumn Sunday and free spaces? No. We found a place on a side street. Good location for getting into the city centre, but I don't think I would want to sleep there. That is just my personal feeling.
