Lundveien 62, 8206, Fauske
Been here?
Lundhøgda Camping has excellent fjord and town views, spacious electric pitches, and access to hiking, fishing, and a swimming spot. Recent reports describe the campsite as run down, with old, poorly maintained and sometimes dirty sanitary facilities and kitchen areas. The camper service is functional, and hot showers are available. An on-site notice showed 320 Kr, but payment through the app required 350 Kr; muddy ground can make parking difficult.

Indeed a beautiful place, BUT... the ground is wet, and when we reversed into a spot, the front wheels sank up to the axles in mud (peat/clay). We saw many reviews about how clean or dirty the facilities are, but we did not check them anymore. Despite the friendly owner pulling us out of the mud, we went to the camper parking area in the village.
The place has really gone downhill. No one could be reached. I think it is accommodation for migrant workers. The notice says 320 kroner, but payment is only possible via the app, at 350 kroner. The view of Fauske is good. But never again.
You really cannot award any stars for this. The location, view, and hiking opportunities might perhaps deserve one point. We used the hot showers. The facilities are old, though they could certainly be kept clean. It was enough for us at first; unfortunately, we paid dearly for the experience and gained another lesson.
The campsite location is good, lovely view of the fjord, also the sites are spacious with electric connections. camper service is fuctional. BUT the rest is a bit dilapidated. Showers were nice and hot but not very clean. The kitchen area has a stove, oven, microwave, etc. but not clean. We only stayed as we had to use the laundry . There are 2 washers (1 is out of order) and 2 dryer’s. The room, as the rest, was also not clean. We saw no staff during our stay, that also means there is no one to clean and check. Such a pity to neglect such a nice place.
Very good location, great view. Everything else is not worth even €10. Toilets and showers from the 1950s, neglected and partly dilapidated. The whole site seems to be rented to refugees.
We were deeply disappointed by the sanitary facilities. Of four toilets, only two were open, and they were heavily soiled with faeces. The dishwashing area was similar. There was rubbish everywhere, the bin was overflowing, and the sinks had to be cleaned before washing dishes. We have never encountered such a facility in Norway.
Suitable for one night! Shower available, warm and free. However, somewhat dirty in the men's shower. The site is occupied by refugees, with container accommodation on the grounds.
Very beautiful view, old but clean and functional sanitary facilities. I recommend it and do not accept the racist comments below.
The only good thing is that there is electricity; otherwise, there are really strange people in the cabins and the showers are very dirty. It is a 15-minute walk to the beach and bay. We do not recommend this campsite!
Not recommended; we did not feel safe here. Very suspicious and unfriendly people lived in the cabins at the campsite. We left again.
Free choice of pitch, grass, relatively level. There are a few puddles when it rains. Washing machine and dryer cost 30 NOK each (3×10 NOK). Old industrial machines, super effective and clean. Spacious sanitary facilities. Finally, enough toilets! Women's area has seven toilets with sinks and mirrors. Showers are spacious, with curtains. New shower heads and a chair for putting things on. The people living in the cabins were quiet, relaxed, and helpful.
I honestly dont understand the bad reviews. From mine point of view it was just great - old but nice and clean bathrooms with super hot water and strong stream, kitchen with oven and microwave, laundry room with old machines but very effective and quick (if you want to use it you need to have coins 3x10,- for 1 use), camping spots are pretty big so you have privacy, nice view. Price/experience top
Small campsite, quiet and peaceful. Nice view! Plenty of space for parking motorhomes/caravans on grass. Older sanitary facilities but clean and tidy. Reasonable price, 320 kroner including electricity and Wi-Fi.
Positive: the showers have hot water and are inexpensive for the area. The sanitary facilities are, frankly, appalling! The waste and water facilities are terrible; you are constantly watched by the workers, who talk loudly until after midnight and from 7 a.m. (or shout at each other?). The stairs from the lower area were overgrown with nettles; I made them passable myself with scissors. Not recommended!
Check-in and payment via QR code. Nice pitches. Sanitary facilities dated. Shop was not open. You can draw water, discharge wastewater, and empty your chemical toilet.
Review written later; we were here on 10 June. Nice location, convenient check-in via QR code, sanitary facilities somewhat outdated, and black-water disposal was adventurous and not clearly indicated.
The location is great! You can check in online. Otherwise, the site is mediocre. There was a lot of rubbish lying around. The sanitary facilities are nostalgic at best. The bigger problem is that refugees/migrant workers are housed on the property, and some of them argued on the terrace directly in front of the motorhome pitches until midnight.
Simple, clean, quiet, free hot showers. Great view. Stayed for two days. 320 NOK including electricity.
Updated price 320 NOK including electricity and shower. Older but clean sanitary infrastructur. Polite owner. Great view over lake and mountains. Perfect place for one night.
we arrived at the site and a refugee came out and my partner and I thought this was the staff, he couldn't understand any English. he was drunk and kept trying to come into the motorhome. my partner kept telling him we were fine and he kept standing there looking at us and didn't go away we ended up leaving and going down the road by the rema1000 shop instead. he made us feel unsafe, do not stay
Updated price: 300 NOK for a spot with power, now including shower access. Stayed one night. Feels like they haven’t cleaned in weeks. Dirty common areas for 300 NOK per night. Used the shower but had to clean it first before going barefoot. The shared kitchen had old trash on the counters and dirty old dishes in the sink. Disgusting. Self check in was nice.
Beautiful view. I went in October; the pitches were full of potholes and should be resurfaced with gravel. The women's showers were very dirty and paid; I had to shower in the men's area, where even the door did not close. There are containers housing migrants. A campsite like this should be improved.
Nice, simple site, clean and free showers. I will gladly return.
310 NOK for a camper, two people and electricity is quite expensive, with a higher rate than in recent reviews. The facilities are dilapidated (four men's toilets, three are broken), the showers are uninviting, and the ground is muddy and full of holes. The toilet dump has no nearby water for cleaning. Stacked containers are used to house refugees. Go elsewhere.
Simply reserve or check in online. Great view of the fjord. Toilets are dated but decent and clean. Wi-Fi unfortunately did not work for us. Good facilities for discharging grey water and filling fresh water. We had a good and very quiet night.
Small very nice and familiar camping. 295 Nok/night incl electricity and shower. washingmachine available.
Simply check in online and choose a pitch. Old, neglected facility. Very quiet at night. We arrived from the ferry late at night and were simply happy to find a powered pitch. The road there is full of potholes. The sanitary facilities were very dirty.
Arrived at 6 p.m.; no one at reception. Everything is done online via a QR code. The Wi-Fi password could not be found. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. 270 NOK for a camper without electricity, paid online by card. Washing machine only accepts 3×10 NOK coins (30 NOK per wash), and of course it was impossible to find three 10-NOK coins because reception was closed.
Does this still exist? On 21/06/2024 it could not be found via the route planner.
The site is nicely located and ideal for passing through. Unfortunately, many things are broken! Electricity is included in the 290 NOK. Unfortunately, the electricity pillars at both of our pitches were locked because they were defective. There was no price reduction! Four men's toilets, only two operational. Shower room with three showers (10 NOK/5 minutes). No shelves, only separated by shower curtains.
Beautiful view and friendly reception! However, half of the sanitary facilities are broken and locked. The cabins on the site apparently serve as refugee accommodation. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is poor!
Fine for one night. Basic sanitary facilities, but very clean. Great view, warm kitchen with seating.
