99 Rue des Champs de Neige, 39220, Les Rousses
Been here?
This large, mostly flat car park beside a playground is quiet at night and about 300m from the village centre. Restaurants, shops, a bakery, the tourist office, and several walking routes are nearby, with mountain views from some spaces. It is free, but there are no services on site. Overnight stays of two or three nights have been reported as tolerated.

300 meters from the center, with a wide choice of restaurants. Quiet night with about five campers.
Thanks to the municipality. Quiet parking area, with a night spent under beautiful storm rain.
For now, it seems very quiet. We are staying for the night… We will see.
Quiet location near the village center, shops, and walks. We spent two peaceful nights. Very good bakery five minutes away on foot.
Like the other positive comments, this is a functional parking area close to the center and the start of hikes, with mountain views depending on the space. Free, as are the services, which are located at the other parking area by the stadium. That said, it is a shame that Les Rousses does not have a proper motorhome area given the number of touring-vehicle tourists, especially since there are no campsites here.
We spent two days and three nights here. Parking just two steps from the center. The municipality tolerates it even in August. Quiet at night. You can even charge your bicycle batteries for free. Ask the tourist office about good bike rides. The lake is not far away by bike. Thank you to the municipality.
Large, fairly level parking area. It is very close to the town center and a medium-sized supermarket, which is convenient for supplies. It is also the starting point for several hikes. The parking area is quiet, especially in the evening, and offers unobstructed views of the mountains.
Parking much quieter than the motorhome area beside the busy road. Playground for children. Tourist office 3 minutes away. Very quiet at night. Unfortunately, we parked next to the glass recycling bins to be level, and on Monday morning the truck came to empty them lol… no big deal, we went back to sleep :) Thanks to the municipality for providing these free parking areas! It’s nice to see a place where they don’t force us to leave.
Ideal for one night or more, with hiking trails and the town center nearby. I recommend it.
Hello. Quiet area with a view over a large meadow. We slept well.
Quite a quiet parking area for one night. Bins nearby, as well as a children’s playground.
Good place for one or two nights! Fairly quiet (early October) and well located (close to the center and the fort). No facilities on site, but dry toilets and shops less than a five-minute walk away.
In August, plenty of space but quite a lot of traffic (road leading to municipal warehouses and a daycare center), plus music at the playground. Woken up on Monday morning by the glass collection. Public toilets 300 meters away.
It is just a parking lot. There is a small playground but the grass surrounding this smelt of urine. Also check for dog poo - our children nearly stepped in it. :-( There is recycling disposal. We arrived late and left. Quiet night but nothing special.
Well located for the town center and hiking trails, level, no shade, no services, quiet at night. Thanks to the municipality.
Free parking. Well located. The municipality really does everything to welcome motorhomes.
Indeed, a very good location, especially with dry toilets and a bakery (O Pains du Lac) in the parking area along the RN5, five minutes’ walk away. Children’s playground, beautiful view, quiet night. Five minutes from the town center for restaurants and bars. It only lacks a water point for five stars ;-)
Very quiet place, no noise at night. Some shade at the end of the day. No services, but that’s okay—it’s free.
Excellent location. Tourist office 50 meters away. Quiet for the night. Mountain-bike route with an orientation map and hiking trails. Close to the town center.
We spent two nights here. Very quiet, close to the center and hiking trailheads. Near Les Rousses fort. Recommended.
