This is a free rest-area stopover attached to a petrol station on the northbound carriageway, with large lorries shielding much of it from the motorway. It is usable day or night with no reported length-of-stay restriction, although traffic and lorries create some noise. The station has toilets open 24/7, a shop, hot and cold food and drinks, and good 4G signal.

Stayed here a few times travelling up to Scotland. Quiet despite being on the motorway. Toilets are like every other service station - bit unclean and smelly - open 24/7. Nothing special but does the job.
Free stopover. A little traffic noise.
Good place to stay during day or night few lorry’s in and out as expected but over all ver good free place to stay if your on a run to Scotland
Free stopover, no restrictions for length of stay. A little traffic noise but the 24hr shop with toilet make up for that in abundance. Thanks to the owners.

Handy stopover, Todhills Rest Area filling station with toilets. Hot and cold food & drinks available. Good 4G phone signal.
Superb free stopover for a night. Was quite loud and can get busy with lorries so try and keep to the sides. It was ideal!
Good stop over and it’s free. Stayed one night whilst heading to the Cairngorms. Little bit of noise from trucks but nothing major.
This area has now been cordoned off and is like a building site.
stayed 1 night, great place for overnight stop when travelling North, only petrol station facilities but very safe and not too noisy
