This is an additional public parking area behind The Vineyard pub, beside the vineyards, with views, sunsets and nearby walking routes. There are no facilities, water or bins, so it suits self-sufficient campers. The pub welcomes visitors for food and drinks, and the parking is quieter between 23.00 hours and 9.00 hours, near Scotney Castle and Knole House.

Wonderful parking (Public behind the pubs own parking) next to the vineyards with beautiful views, sunset and lovely walks around. Quiet in the evening. Only suitable for self sustaining motorhomes/campervans as there are no facilities, water or bins. Would definitely come back, highly recommend.
We stayed here for 3 nights, it's a lovely place to stay, ideal for walks with the dog. The pub is very welcoming, we ofcourse asked if we could stay. We had a lovely dinner there, friendly staff and good food!! Thank you so much!!
This is a great spot. Had to find somewhere to stay near Pembury Hospital. Came into the pub for delicious food, it’s kid friendly and when we asked to stay it was no bother.
Many speed bumps. The car park is owned by the vineyard.
The open parking area is spacious enough for several vehicles. We spent a very pleasant night with a view of the vineyards. The Vineyard pub is very good and offers a superb welcome.
I phoned in the morning to check it was ok to stay. She said they’d asked last summer that the website take them off. But anyway then she said it would be fine to stay. When we turned up there was plenty of room in the additional parking area and another two vans staying. We had a nice meal and a peaceful night.
Pub was very friendly! And except dogs… they let me stay in their car park for the night which doesn’t close (no gates)… have a drink maybe some food experience the locals, all good! Dog friendly
Got a cider and asked to stay the night. they were very nice and welcoming. Second car park by the vineyard, views of great sunset over the vines
Very nice spot to stay. It’s quiet and the pub and the people are nice. Pretty good food. We stayed 2 nights and visited some gardens and estates in the aria. Just walk in the pub and ask if you can camp on the parking lot. We slept really nice here, no people during the night. Definitely recommend this ( free) spot.
Love this find! The vineyard (disused) car park backs onto the pub car park but doesn’t appear to be owned by them, although I arrived after closing time so can’t verify this. It’s tucked away and quiet. Plenty of space but it was only me and a Dutch motorhome staying. I take my mountain bike to Bedgebury quite regularly and it’s only 10mins down the road from here. Also ideal for a visit to Bewl Water, Scotney Castle or a stop on the way down to Hastings on the A21.
Really good place to stop next to overgrown vineyard. No need to use the pub next door although we did! Car park well used in the evening then all emptied out and was quiet through the night. It was used again in morning from around 7.30 a.m. but still no problem. There was only one other camper with us for the night. No facilities but excellent place to stay anyway...would recommend.
A quiet place once everyone had left the parking area. We took a short walk through the vineyard, but it was not worthwhile because it was no longer in use—a shame.
This was a good find. Arrived about 1030 and only the odd person/ car leaving the pub. Quiet during the night but after 0700 cars arrived presumably for the vineyard. They were parked on the opposite side and we were left in peace. No problems at all. From here able to visit Bewl water.
