Wonderful people, extremely welcoming and kind to everyone. We were able to sleep there for free, and they also offered us a visit to the vineyards and a tasting of truly excellent wines, so much so that we bought several bottles. An experience I highly recommend! If I could, I would give more than five stars!
We spontaneously decided to spend the night here and were even allowed to join a wine tasting. Isabelle was very warm, and the wine is truly fantastic! The overnight stay is also completely relaxed. Geocachers also have fun here ;)
Amazing place, amazing people! As soon as we arrived the owner welcomed us inviting us to the free tour about their vineyard, with tasting at the end. The tour was both in English and French. Absolutely recommend!
We stayed one night with our dog and it was wonderful! A very warm welcome an amazing tour (very informative) and the wine tasting was super interesting. 100/10 would absolutely recommend! Learn more about organic wines and enjoy the atmosphere.
Magnificent place... Superb vineyard tour offered, followed by a tasting.
The stopover at the Pastoury family vineyard is an excellent base for visiting Bordeaux by bicycle or scooter. All the family members were extremely kind, and during the tasting Madame Isabelle conveyed the family's love for the vines and their dedication to producing excellent wine, which can be purchased on site. Stopover on unpaved ground, without services, free of charge. Recommended.
Thanks Marie! It was great! Free parking, in a beautiful setting and only a 20-minute drive from Bordeaux city. We received tips about parking in Burges, which helped—no break-in in the city! The wine tasting was also very enjoyable and free. Of course, we took a bottle home. No other services.
Great hospitality from the family and a lovely little site. we enjoyed the wine tasting and learning. about the vineyard. Bordeaux is accessible by bike and it's a lovely peaceful place. Use plenty of insect repellent - we all got bittem which is to be expected in a rural location
Beautiful location and very friendly owner. Thank you very much!
Absolutely lovely here. So peaceful. Marie was so polite and friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the wine tour and tasting and happily bought a variety of bottles of wine. Some of the roads leading here are quite narrow, but we managed them and we have an 8m motorhome. Highly recommend a visit if you enjoy wine and tranquility.
We had a lovely peaceful night's sleep at this beautiful vinyard. Isobelle, was very welcoming and gave a interesting talk as part of the wine tasting about the wines that she and her family make there: white, rosé, reds and organic wines. No moho services but a free stop in a beautiful location, free wine tasting with no pressure to buy any but they were lovely wines and very affordable.
Beautiful place and a very informative wine tasting. We learned a lot about organic winegrowing on the family estate and its challenges. Marie, the young winemaker, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and committed, and even gave the tour in fluent English. Naturally, we bought a few bottles of the delicious wine at the end.
A very beautiful place. We did the tasting with Isabelle, who speaks about her estate with great passion and wonderful values. This was followed by an outstanding tasting. Thank you for this lovely time and for sharing. These passionate people should not be missed. Perfectly accessible even with a large motorhome!
We enjoyed this beautiful and peaceful stop! Marie taught us a lot about the wines and the region, and we took some delicious wine with us. After a restful night, we set off refreshed toward the Netherlands. Thank you for your hospitality!
Attention, the address is incorrect! Enter the name of the vineyard in Maps and navigate there that way. You should not drive onto a dirt road in the countryside!
Very friendly contact, beautiful wine tasting, and a very quiet place to spend the night. We would gladly come again. Thank you to the family.
We ended up here because our motorhome broke down. It was a wonderful place to stay. Of course, we attended the wine tasting and bought some wine. Marie is a warm, lovely woman with a passion for her wines and her campers. Marie, thank you again!
We loved this place. It was wonderful to sleep there, enjoy the wine tasting, learn so much about the profession, organic farming, and so on, and meet this passionate, caring family who respect everyone. Many thanks for your generosity. A mother traveling with her son and our two dogs.
What a lovely place and family that owns it, so welcoming to visitors. The wine tasting was very informative and we very much enjoyed the wines, as we were there on a Saturday night we also had some delicious food in the wine bar afterwards. It's a 14k bike ride into Bordeaux centre and that is well worth the visit. Many thanks to the Petoury family for a fantastic stopover.
We spent two lovely days there. Isabelle, her daughter Marie, and Isabelle's husband were all so warm and welcoming. Their passion for wine can be felt everywhere. We enjoyed a wonderful tasting, followed by grilled duck breast served with pepper sauce. Starters were also available beforehand. The site is suitable for large motorhomes.
Wonderful place! And the wine tasting was absolutely fantastic! Maria leading it was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating insights. It felt like a true cultural journey into the world of wine, not just a tasting. I learned so much and enjoyed every single moment (highly recommended!)
This place is truly excellent. Mary gives a super enjoyable tour and tasting. Buy a few delicious bottles of wine there at a very reasonable price! We were allowed to take water. We stayed one night and on the second day cycled to Bordeaux on electric bikes; it takes about 40 minutes and is easy enough. We were allowed to leave the motorhome safely at the vineyard.
Exceptional place and welcome. A stopover just as we like them. An ideal location for discovering the Bordeaux region and its wine production. An exceptionally warm welcome, a presentation, and a sharing of their passion for their work as winemakers. Do not hesitate to visit the wine bar and enjoy a wonderful shared experience.
Ideal place for a stopover, spacious and clean, with very friendly owners who are passionate about their work. Very good wine at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
Wow! This place deserves more than five stars. The family runs it with so much love and heart. The winemaking was wonderful, and we took home quite a bit of Crémant. Thank you, and we will come again.
Simple parking with a lovely view of the vineyard and a beautiful sunset. And such a warm welcome from the whole family, generous with their time and their wine. Wonderful to learn about the region but in particular how the much loved organic family business continues to evolve. Make sure you have some space in your van because you won't want to leave empty handed.
Wonderful stay! The wine tasting followed by dinner and a quiz night was fantastic: informative, delicious, and fun. The family runs the farm with great passion. The parking spot among the vines was also beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended!
Marie and her family are doing an amazing job hosting us at the winery! Quiet, peaceful, and an amazing wine tasting in the evening. Highly recommended if you're around Bordeaux!
We were friendly welcomed by Marie on their wineyard. She offered us a tasting moment of their wines where we also met her dad and had an interesting discussion on biological wining. We learned a lot! The wines tasted very nice and we bought some bottles. Thanks for your kind hospitality and lots of succes with this years harvest!!
We were received very warmly by Maria. Many thanks. As described in previous reviews, the wine can only be recommended. Very quiet parking spot. Kind regards, Margit and Gerhard.
Very nice place to spend the night, surrounded by vineyards. Marie welcomed us very warmly and offered a free wine tasting. Delicious wines! There is also a tap with drinking water.
We arrived and nobody was there. We called them and they kindly let us sleep in the vineyard. Peaceful and charming place. It is a pleasure dealing with people like this; France could teach us a thing or two.
Excellent welcome. We tasted and bought their excellent wines. A peaceful night.
What an excellent find, flat parking area with no services, but meeting Isabelle and enjoying her wine tasting was a real treat. We will definitely be back whenever close to our route. Thank you.
We are absolutely delighted with this experience. We spent one night at the family winery with three other lucky campers. Marie, the daughter, gave us a warm welcome and took the time to tell us about her wine and the Bordeaux region. So much attention to detail. The winery is easily accessible with a large motorhome.
Perfect place to stay, the host was amazing and gave us a free wine tasting without expectations of any purchase, but the wine is so good that you will want to buy. There is a water spigot on site with drinking water.
The best vineyard tour we have ever had! And really delicious wine too! Thank you, Marie.
We were welcomed by a very friendly hostess who also invited us to a free wine tasting. Of course, the idea was that we would buy something afterward, which we did. It was also free to stay overnight on the gravel area outside.
Within cycling distance of Bordeaux, we spent a night with the Pestoury family. Wine has been made here for five generations. Marie, the eldest daughter, welcomed us and conducted the wine tasting. Their passion for the profession is clear. We tasted eight wines and naturally bought several bottles. Highly recommended!
How lucky to have hosts who welcome us like this. A paved area in the vineyard courtyard. A knowledgeable family offering a perfect tasting combining family history with their passion for organic wine. We will return to buy wine when passing through.
Good place among the vineyards. When the 1.5-hour wine tour started, we were eating. Later, the owner came and complained that so many people bought nothing and had no interest in wine. Not a warm welcome. When we received an introduction to the wines from his daughter, everything was fine again. Very tasty grape juice! Dear campers, please buy something from the farms.
Absolutely fantastic vineyard! We received an incredibly warm welcome from the family who owns the farm. We had a very informative and personal wine tasting with their delicious wines. One of our absolute favorite stops during our three-month trip! We would love to return.
Wow!! This is the highlight of our 2 months in Europe. An extremely warm welcome from Isabelle and Marie, was so informative, we learnt about the vines from inception to 80+ years. If you are visiting this region you must visit. The wines are exquisite and very well priced. We loved it. Thanks so much to our lovely hosts. We will be spreading the word back in Australia. Merci
Quiet place; in the evening the owner comes and invites you to a wine tasting.
A wonderful experience spending this evening and night among the vines. A top-notch welcome, simple and genuine. Thank you to the owners. Around 6:30 p.m., a tasting of their production is offered, beginning with a passionate explanation from the owner about the history and work of their vineyard. A passion passed down through several generations.
Very kind! It is advisable to call to find out whether there is space. The location is wonderful, and the free tasting is equally wonderful! They produce very good wines, and it is impossible not to take a few bottles home. Easy access and level parking!
A very pleasant and uncomplicated stay. The wines tasted delicious.
We were given a very warm welcome. Every guest is greeted personally and invited to the wine tasting. Overall, it is a great place and we felt very comfortable.
Beautiful place, nice hosts, and delicious wine. Highly recommended!
Brilliant family run organic vineyard! Great wine, and simple, delicious food (on certain nights). Would highly recommend if your in the region!
