This free motorhome parking area is along the railway line, close to the town centre, lake and nearby restaurants. Parking is limited to 6 hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with unlimited parking before and after. Trains also run at night, sometimes every 30-40 mins, causing significant noise and movement. Clean public toilets are available in a nearby building.

In the middle of town, right next to the railway tracks. Trains run at night too. At least it is free after 18:00.
Not really recommended. Very noisy, and every passing train shakes the motorhome. The only advantages are that it is free and you can reach Lindau quickly. But never again!
Good for visiting the Lindau peninsula. We spent one night; you can hear the trains, but it is not too disturbing.
The only advantage is that it is free. Negative: daytime parking is limited to 6 hours. Because of the railway right next to the site, with trains also running at night, sleeping is disturbed.
A good place to stay for one night and explore the city. At night, you can hear some passing trains.
We arrived Sunday afternoon expecting trains to have stopped, but no,,, they ran all night every 30-40 mins, very loud and rocked the van every time as only 5ft away other side of a low fence,,, nice restaurant nearby, good supermarket close and good English speaking doctors 5 mins walk away,,,Only stop if you like trains
Well located, clean toilet reachable on foot in the neighbouring building. During our stay from Tuesday to Wednesday, trains also ran at night at irregular intervals. Without noise protection, you need to be a very sound sleeper.
Good place for an overnight stay. The lake, town centre and restaurant are reachable within 10 minutes on foot. Despite the railway and Saturday night, it was not very noisy.
Good place to start the walk. Problem cars blocking the space!!!
Impossible to park; it is occupied by railway construction equipment.
A wonderful idea in an otherwise very motorhome-unfriendly surrounding area. However, despite being explicitly designated as a motorhome car park, it is heavily used by car owners who, despite discussions, are not “able” to use the car spaces 100 metres closer to town. As always… what a shame.
Good place for one night, despite the train passing nearby (2 m away); you can sleep well.
Plus: free for 6 hours. Minus: usually full. There are less than two metres between the motorhome and the train.
Convenient for spending the night and visiting the Lindau peninsula by bike; the trains do not prevent you from sleeping. Thank you for these free spaces.
