45 Le Moulin de la ville, 51270, La Ville-sous-Orbais
Been here?
A grassy wild spot beside an abandoned farm and a river, with opportunities for hiking and Urbex. Recent conditions are poor: the area is reportedly occupied, and wet ground or a stream can make the field inaccessible. Access is difficult, especially in damp weather, when four-wheel drive or a winch may be needed.

The place is occupied by squatters, which is a shame. Otherwise, there is a beautiful hike.
We tried to go there this evening, but a small stream from the abandoned farm (where there are nevertheless many poultry...) was flowing through the field, making it completely unusable.
Not recommended for a quick overnight stay. Difficult to find and reach. When I arrived there at night in May 2024, it did not look appealing. The grass field was also inaccessible because it was wet. I drove a little farther to Le Breuil by the church and slept very well there.
Completely quiet! There is plenty of space for campers! The ground is wet, so perhaps do not venture in with a motorhome.
Not only is this spot beautiful, it is also incredible. I stayed here during this heatwave, and it is at least 6 degrees cooler than forecast. It is a cool oasis. So please take care of it.
Everything said in the previous comments is true, but be careful in wet weather: you need four-wheel drive to get out, or a winch!
Perfect for stopping or spending the night. A large, fairly flat grassy area where you can only hear the river and birds. There are a couple of paths into the forest for walks. It gets sun, but there is shade all day because the meadow is surrounded by trees. Super beautiful and peaceful!
