Museum parking, freight-train noise

A large, almost flat parking area beside the glass blower museum, with shops and restaurants nearby. Toilets are listed, but they were reported closed; there are no other services. Overnight stays are tolerated if you politely ask the museum or restaurant. The main road and railway bring considerable noise, including freight trains at night, although the area empties at 18h.

Very good. Right opposite the fjord for swimming. There is also a great sauna not far away by car.
Great place to park for the shops and restaurants.
Good parking area because it is flat and spacious. BUT it is directly beside the main road and railway line, with lots of freight traffic. Overnight stays are tolerated by the museum/restaurant; you should politely ask or let them know.
Very noisy until 11:30 p.m. because of the adjacent main road and motorboats on the water. Freight trains pass several times during the night. We still liked it. Thank you!
We were here on 7–8 August 2023 and the toilets were closed! Otherwise, everything was fine.
