Surf-beach parking, size restrictions

The entire blue-zone area is prohibited by the town council; only vehicles 2 metres wide and 5 metres long are allowed. Beware, they are already issuing fines.

Good little spot close to a surf beach. Bit of a walk to the town but no dramas. Had to pay during the day and stay at night was no problem with windows etc shut. Police were in the area checking. We are 7m with large parking bays

When we got up, we found a notice proposing a fine for sleeping with the roof raised. We were also awake inside the van when they came to fine us, and they were not even able to warn us. There were lots of caravans, and we were the only ones fined.

Beware: you will be fined if you have the door or windows open, or anything hanging from the mirror. The van becomes an oven.

The Guardia Civil directly allowed us to park here without charge. We did not stay overnight. The great beach is five minutes away. Our dog was with us, although from June 1 to September 30 it is forbidden to take a dog to the beach; the fine is €1,500!

We received a €300 fine four months later, stating that overnight stays are prohibited. In our case, they inferred it from the raised roof. It seems it was a night patrol, since the stated time of the offence was 1:35 a.m. Bad luck, because we had relied on comments saying that there was no problem if you paid for 24 hours of blue-zone parking.

Yesterday, September 11, we parked everything properly, but at midnight someone pulled the wetsuits down and stole them. There is more theft in this area every day, so I will not return. The police patrol a lot, but they only fine vans that have something outside, not the thieves.

Park your motorhome between the blue lines and pay €5.50 for the full day, or pay by the hour; there is a parking meter opposite the school. There is a roundabout at the end where you can turn around. The beach is a five-minute walk away and is good for surfers. Quiet overnight stay, and a very rainy night with no puddles. No shade. Two rubbish bins, at the roundabout and by the gym. Do not take equipment outside; it is a car park even though the rear borders are grassy. Please keep it clean!

Fine for enjoying a day at the beach, but the police have been very persistent, or perhaps they were following the regulations. They warned us that opening the windows or door is not allowed, otherwise there is a €300 fine, and the motorhome became an oven.

We stayed for two nights. Basically, everything was fine! There was a gym next door for €6, where we could shower. Since June 15, daytime parking has to be paid for. The police are very strict here. Make sure the pop-up roof is down and absolutely nothing is outside. The police were friendly, though, and only warned us.

Beach, surf life… BUT blue zone! It is a little sad that you drive 3 km away from the town centre and still have to pay.

Very steep at the beginning, very popular, and therefore often unavailable. It is simply a car park beside a residential area inhabited for long periods by nomadic surfers, in the lower section. Arrive early if you want to try. Otherwise, park up above, surf, and go elsewhere, such as the estuary. Large motorhomes should beware of the trees nearby!

Super-quiet place next to the sports centre. I slept one night without any problem.

I stayed there from Friday to Saturday. The best thing was that it was quite quiet, and several other motorhomes were there too. Perfect location for getting to the beach.

Beautiful place to stay for surfing. With our large motorhome, we put the rear wheels on the grass so that we occupied only one parking space. We also parked a little farther from the beach entrance. During the two nights we stayed here, we had no problems with the locals, apart from a few mosquitoes, which were annoying, haha.

Good for a night off season. Warning for LWB who might not want to put back wheels in the mud. Local surfers get angry if they can’t park close to the beach on busy days. They will harass you if you take more than one space. Fair enough, I left as soon as they got aggy. One said they would cut my tyres. Lovely Spanish locals! The school here gets busy twice a day too with big coaches.

Angled parking (probably not suitable for anything bigger than 6m), and slightly sloping, but great for access to the beach. Very popular with surfers, and free to park during the off season. Bins nearby.

It is a car park and is very good. In summer it is a blue zone and has no services. We spent the night and it was great.

Our motorhome is 7.5 metres long and parking was no problem. The police pass every morning and evening, and no camping behaviour is tolerated. The beach is about 300 metres away; it is popular with surfers but also has space for swimmers. This area is paid from July 15 to September 15. The spaces are slightly sloped. We stayed here for seven nights and loved it.

We spent two quiet nights here. Overnight stays are tolerated by the police, but any camping behaviour is prohibited. Today we had to pay €250 because we were using a levelling ramp, had towels hanging outside, and especially because our wastewater tank was leaking. So be careful and bring things inside in the evening!

It is usually a great spot for surfers. Unfortunately, two wetsuits were stolen from us last night!

This is the second consecutive year we have returned, and unfortunately for the second time something was stolen: this time a new wetsuit, last year a pair of Crocs. Also, unlike last year, the police pass frequently this year, and if you have wetsuits or boards outside, they fine you.

A place very close to the beach and packed with motorhomes. Music can be heard at midnight, probably from campsites. After driving around the area many times looking for a place, this was the only spot we found!

The police came by to warn us not to park on the private meadow. Somewhat noisy, presumably because of the festivities, with many motorhomes and vans. Close to the beach. €5.50 per day.

Spectacular spot. Very quiet, with hardly any noise at night, and spacious pitches for my 7.5-metre motorhome. The beach is very close, as is the Latas surf school, which includes a bar. Blue zone, cheap during the day. We will definitely return.

Forget about sleeping here; the neighbours come and make you leave.
